Hi all,
I purchased M44 and battlelore and got web access codes with them.
Then recently for my birthday i got the eastern front and pacific front expansions as well as the battlelore 100 years war expansions.
The pacific war expansion had a web access code i have entered and got myself another 6 months access. The eastern front and 100 years war expansions do not appear to have codes. is this correct or am i looking in the wrong place?

That is correct, only the pacific expansion has had a code. DoW's policy is that expansion's don't have one.

Yeah, I felt cheated too. What do you do when you only want one copy of the game and expansions and your time runs out? Ouch!

you buy only web time.... 18 bucks for a year... good price if you play web games... not so if you only want an avatar and PM's...
I'll buy a bunch when the m44 on line ever shows up...

Vassal is great for head to head and PBeM but it gots no AI to play by yourself... ( we have already had the play with yourself jokes... )
that is what they are working on.... at least thats whats been hinted at...
and expandable to include expansions present an future...
But Vassal is really cool and if you have a fast connection and skype you can play Vassal head to head and talk on the Phone at the same time... almost like being in the same room... but without a cat trying to eat your game pieces...
but you got to have someone to play...

I always find someone to play in Vassal. Yes,sometimes it takes a lot of waiting...hehe...
But a M44 by DoW would be great, indeed.

I have DSL and the one Vassal game I tried to play online, was less than great. First of all, Vassal does not have the rules built in, so you have to know how many dice to roll, how far that unit can shoot, ect. Not a bad thing when I want to play a board game in person, but I expect a computer game to have all that. Second of all I didn't get to play a complete game because the thing dropped the connection a couple of times for some reason. The second time I really lost the game because the other player was gone. Maybe he had a drop out too. But in my first game of Vassal, I got to play two or three turns. I was excited when I began, but less than happy about it when it was over.
Plus, I want to play against the computer! And I am a person who likes cheat codes when I play computer games because I believe the computer cheats. You see, the computer always knows where your units are when they are supposed to be hidden, always knows the strength of your units when it shouldn't know, ect. Of course with a board game such as Memoir, that might not matter.
I would hope that the computer game would have all the rules and all the expansions already in it. I would also hope for the ability to make your own scenarios or the ability to edit scenarios.
If the game included these features, it would have my vote, and my bucks!
