Looking at the online pre-order page, it says the Campaign Books are shipping around 2/25/09. Since we haven't reached February 25th yet, I would assume they are still on track for sometime around that date.

Thanks, Jesse.

I knew I had seen a date somewhere, but I forgot to check the store.

No problem. Does this mean you pre-ordered your copy? Believe me, it's well worth the price! You'll be amazed at how the game is enhanced. Very Happy

Yes. Unfortunately, I'm an addict and I'll preorder anything from DOW that says Memoir '44 on the box. I probably shouldn't have let them know that though... Embarassed

I'm greatly looking forward to it, as is my 10 year old son.

Do you know if they are working on the 2nd volume yet? Twisted Evil

I'm an addict too. I wouldn't preorder but, likewise, do end up buying everything that says M44 on it, and have never been disappointed.

It's that good a game!

I pre-ordered as well. This is really the product I'd been waiting for since the very beginning. I hope it fulfills my expectations!

I think it will. Obviously there might be elements that players think are missing from the Campaign system but as a whole this expansion is incredible! Enjoy!

I was just looking at the store, and I noticed that it now says that the book will ship out on March 11th. Is this an official delay?

It's coming from the DAYS OF WONDER store on the DAYS OF WONDER website. That is as official as it gets. So yes, the official proposed date of issue in the US is now March 11, 2009.

Be patient!

Good things come to them that waits!

Christmas itself is still 304 days away.

As Stevens already pointed out, yes this is an official delay. The shipment was delayed in customs, but is now on its way to the warehouse. The March 11th date is when we expect retailers to have it in stock. If possible, we'll try and ship out pre-orders a day or two before that.

Thanks for your patience - We think it will be worth the wait!

The delay is only for USA, isn't it? So, in Europe, and in particular England, the date is still around 25th February?

Shipping for pre-orders in Europe begins this week, so if you ordered directly from the web store you should be seeing your games shortly. Retail stores should also start having them in stock by the end of this week depending on their distributor.

Re:OK, it's February, where's my campaign book Thu, 12 March 2009 01:19
I got my copy a few days ago. Looking forward to playing it soon. I think I'll play the campaigns cronologically, so starting with the Western Front(Belgium/France) then Eastern then Normandy.

It looks like instead of playing one scenario and then switching sides, we should play the entire campaign and then switch. The only thing I don't like about this is that I'll have to set up the board for each game instead of setting it up once and playing it twice.

The scenarios look great and I'm looking forward to next Tuesday!

Also, the air power is one sided for many of the scenarios, and I wonder if it's much of a disadvantage one way or the other to use or not use it. I'd rather use it but will that skew the results much?

Ok get jealous! Laughing
Bayernkini and I are down to our last game in the first Campaign, FLANKING CAEN. Unfortunately for the Axis (that's me) things are not looking good. We did manage to force the Allies into a fourth game in the campaign, and kept them from any objective points so far, but not much else has gone in our favor. Thanks DOW and Brummbar, Don "yangtze", jdrommel,Rasmussen and the gang for all your efforts. Hope I didn't leave anyone out - I don't have my book with me to be certain. We are definitely enjoying them.

I'm glad you're enjoying the campaigns! I only did editing work, but guys like Brummbar, Don and jdrommel poured a lot of time and love into the book. I'm glad it's as fun for everyone else as it has been for us!! Very Happy

And if you haven't bought it yet...get out there and snag a copy! It's such a great expansion! Cool Laughing
