I have video problems: blank or black screen when starting the game, very slow start-up video, screen artifacts, etc.
1) First, make sure you are in Windowed Mode instead of Full Screen Mode. To do so (if you are able to reach the main screen of course), go to the Settings screen. If switching to windowed mode works better, it is probably one of the resolution/mode that did not work well for you.
2) Make sure you have recent video drivers. 99% of video problems come from outdated video drivers. It is recommended to download and install the latest drivers from your video board manufacturer. If you have a hard time finding them, the following web site can help you: http://www.ma-config.com
WARNING: like always with Windows, changing anything in your computer configuration can run havoc. So make sure you make backups of your most precious files before doing anything. If you are not sure that you are knowledgeable enough, ask for advise from an expert around you. As explained in the end-user license agreement, Days of Wonder cannot take responsibility for any configuration problems or advises. You have been warned.
3) If you are using Asus GamerOSD, try to uninstall it. There are some issues with recent video drivers and this software.

Install the latest Audio drivers.
For instance, if you use a SB Live sound card, updating the drivers from a side developer (kx Audio driver) usually solves the start-up issue.

Memoir'44 Online needs to connect to our servers. You should allow it to open connections : add an exception to allow Memoir'44 Online on any address and any port, and it will be fine.
If you want to limit the opened ports to the minimum, required ports are : 80, 443 and 9598
and servers are :
- www.daysofwonder.com
- static.daysofwonder.com
- api.daysofwonder.com
- games.memoir44-online.com

When using the Memoir '44 Scenario Editor, my scenario disappears from my list of scenarios after I save to DOW Online
You probably entered a number into the "Original Scenario #" field instead of leaving it to 0.
You should use this field only when you are designing a variant of another scenario. In this case, this field is supposed to contain the ID of the original scenario - which should also belong to you.
99.99% of the time, leave this field to 0.
