painting snipers	Wed, 13 February 2013 21:12

I'd like to paint properly snipers from the EP expansion. I've checked on line on a snipers site and except for the very deadly number one Simo Häyhä from Finland all the others mentioned belonged to Russia or Germany. Do you know if there are scenarios with snipers different from these? I'd like if you show me how you have painted them. [Beschwerde über Forumsbeitrag? Hier dem Moderator melden]

I was very satisfied with the way my snipers came out. I am away from home right now but will hopefully post some pictures later this evening.

Thanks JJAZ for the reminder. The night lasted 5 days. Seems like some of the battles I have had using NIGHT RULES. Painting: I washed figures with soapy water and rinsed thoroughly. I base coated them with a flat black enamel primer. I sponge painted white over the brick wall and ground for WINTER and a medium brown for the non-winter ones. This gives them a sense of depth and detail. I chose distinct colors for the helmet, blanket, uniform, belt, and shoes for Russian and German snipers. Flesh tones for the hands and face. Dark wood brown for the rifle stock. I used a fine tip brush and dappled in the falling snow on the tops of the sniper to give the appearance that snow was falling on him as he took aim. I finished them off with a couple of coats of Testors "Dullcote" matte finish.
