Ouch!! That looks painful.
I would probably try using the perfectly clear packing tape to put it back together...but of course you'll have to be very careful. Let us know how you manage to fix it!

I think is better not to use any tape on the board, it will eventually fail and make a sticky mess in the long run.
I will use binder clips to hold the board together during play.
Or play with a clear plexiglass over the board.

Good point; it's not such a good long-term fix.

If you can just place plexiglass over the board during play, that sounds like your best bet. Now you can just store the pieces in two places...
