Online ticket to ride broken on mac?

Hi. I noticed that ticket to ride frequently won't allow me to put pieces down even when I have the required number of colored cards and there is no one occupying that route (or route next to it). What is wrong, it does this frequently enough that after a few games no one wants to play with me because they think I'm slow, but I'm not, I'm pretty sure this is a computer glitch.

do you have enough physical trains?
you only start with 45 trains, once you use them, they're gone. For instance, are you trying to claim a 6 route when you only have 4 trains?
