Which Tabletop versions do you have? Tue, 28 May 2013 12:15
I have USA, 1910, Europe, 1912, Marklin and Africa, my next one to get will be Nordic, then I'll complete the set.

What versions do the rest of you have?

Side question: For those who play India, what are your impressions of it? I mostly want the India map pack for Switzerland, but I'd like to know what people thought of India! Same goes for Dice and Card expansions, what are they like?

I've got all of them. The India map is ok but I really bought it for the Swiss map too. It's my favorite with Europe a close second. Like Nordic Countries also and Marklin mainly because of the wagon cards. Never tried any of the card or dice games - prefer board games. And playing TTR online, of course. Smile

I started with Nordic (since I like Sweden pretty much) and it quickly escalated Razz
We now own Nordic, USA, Europe, Märklin, USA 1910, Europe 1912, India, Heart of Africa, Alvin & Dexter and The Dice Expansion.

I own Europe, 1912, India/Swiss, and Nordic.

I play Nordic (occasionally Switzerland) with 2 players, usually Switzerland (but occasionally Nordic or India) with 3, India with 4, and Europe Expanded with 5 players.

I LOVE India, it has to be one of my favorite maps, right up there with Switzerland. I think the two actually go pretty well together, by the way. It has the same sort of tight-but-flexible feel IMO. The mandala bonus is what really makes it work, and the map is obviously designed around that. It's nearly impossible NOT to take tracks the other people want, and that makes for a fun game as you have to constantly adjust your route on the fly. It isn't like Nordic where it is fairly easy to completely block someone out of Copenhagen or whatever, or like Europe where you can always get around with a station, it's right in the middle like Switzerland where you get blocked quite a bit, and there is usually another route although you may not have enough trains left to do it. A very tense game, although I don't like it much for 2 players despite it being theoretically for 2-4. 3 players works great, 4 is ideal.

I have USA

Märklin: but have never played it yet, bought it as all my children speak German and go to a German school, so someday we will

Swiss: only bought because we had a swiss girl living with us for a short while, so we "visit" her every time we play, the board is customized and routes go out of their way to go to her city(played India once and we didn't care for it)

My brother just ordered Nordic for me yesterday

Eventually I want 1910, 1912, Europe, Asia, and Africa

Can you go wrong, teaches great geography

I have:
Marklin (first tabletop version, still the best, most interesting and fun to play)
Europe (with 1912 expansion), Nordic, Asia, India/Swiss and Africa (unfortunately played only once since friends did not like that so much).
Also have Alvin and Dexter (very fun thing) and Dice expansion (somehow I have it for 2 years or so and still didn't manage to open yet).
Card game is also somewhere in my closet, not a bad thing to take to long trips, however, there are a lot more interesting other card games.

However, I'm never gonna buy USA map and extension (since I find it quite boring, well.. too simple), and Halloween Freighter - it just does nothing...

Swiss may be the weakest of all the maps- I am one that thinks it is broken (with the cross country tickets) in less you play with Alvin and Dexter.

However India is one of the BEST TTR maps (really really really good as a 2 player). It is actually probably my favorite map thus far.

I got ticket to ride USA, and have the electronic versions of ticket to ride US and Europe.
I bought the 1910 expansion electronically, and am just annoyed now.

Clearly the real world expansion is an improvement on the original game. So why not just issue the game in it's improved version?
I guess the answer is obvious, but dissapoiting: to be able to sell two items instead of one. Confused
Obviously 1910 makes for a better game, but I really dont want to spend an extra 15 euros, on top of the 30 I already spent on the original game.
