When playing with the Squire's Challenge variant.
Will new made Paramides get extra life point at that point?
This is a timing question.
I think "yes", but have a little assurance.

I think "no" !
action should comme this order :
First : ending the quest.
Second : Doing the ceremony that make the squire become a knight.
Glory comes after the action who cause it.
We should wait for Luke answer ^^
Or Bruno official's one !

cermony for becoming a Knight takes place after end of the quest !!
palomides will get extar life point the next time !

Oh my God! Poor Palomides! 
Other knights can use their abilities at that timing(at thir turn)!
Truly saying, I also wondered Palomides may not use its ability at that time.
But, I din't want to bilieve it. Becouse, I love Palamides. 
We'll play SoC with this official answer.

yes, it's true...
and this can make hard discussion between the squires to decide witch of them should become a knight when they win a quest !!
which one will be the most usefull (depending on the situation)....

Oh! Merci, monsieur.
When knighted, we drew Coats-of-Arms randomly.
May we select a knight at knighted?

official procedure is as follows:
- the squire which will become a knight must be choosed between all the squires present on the quest which has just been won
- players discuss together to decide which of them will be knighted
- if no agreement is reached, it's the squire who ended the quest which is knighted (if the player who ended the quest was still a knight, he decides who is knighted)
this makes very hard and fun discussions... which power is the most usefull... hum.. yes, but this guy has got a very suspect behavior... maybe he is the traitor... etc..

in fact, coat of arms are distributed randomly at the beginning of the game.. so, each player knows which power he should get during the game... when a quest is won, you can choose which squire will get a promotion !

Wrong.
During setup, before the game begins, you must have given a die (and some cards  ) to each player. THAT die means which knight you're going to be. So, if you've the red die, you are the "young Arthur" and one day you'll be king. If you've the balck die, you're Palamedes and one day you'll become "Sir Palamedes" and so on. Of course the dice should be assigned randomly just as Coat-of-Arms are dealt randomly in a normal game (but if once in a while you want to pick your favourite characters... we promise that no one will know! Just do not do it regularly, because part of the challenge is to learn how to use the various knights and to have different parties of knights defending Camelot).

Ah, you are right!
I cannnot deam about beginning distibution for squires.
