So here's a question for someone at Days of Wonder...after reading the official rules and such about this contest I'm unclear whether the announcement page (found here) counts toward the clues. What I mean is, if I noticed what looked like clues in the Whodunit Contest page can I mark those clues down or do the clues start coming after the announcement?
Thanks!

You will find clues on the website. Unless specified that something on the website is not a clue, it can be a clue. That's all I'm saying for now!

Still confused about what to ignore and stuff.
What about all the pictures in the "Mystery Express Tour slideshow"? Do we ignore all those images? There are a lot of them, so I wasn't sure.
What about posting times? If someone from the website posts something at the same exact time of one of the time clues, do we use that as a time clue? That would be challenging, because of all the time differences.

Those of us not lucky enough to be near a retailer with the mystery cards (or even have one in our province...) are pretty much out of the contest I assume?
Unless we can get lucky enough to guess all 5 things correctly.

There are many stores in Canada that are not listed on the participating retailers store, as we don't have direct access to the list of stores that received them. (In Canada, the stores buy through distributors) so contact your local stores to check if they have it. Also, all clues that are in the Clue Cards will also be available elsewhere. Just harder to find and in different places.

I have to admit that I'm having a blast with this whole mystery and it's a great way to introduce people to the game if they haven't every played it! Nice work, DoW, you have a very creative marketing staff and this is just another example of great "out of the box" thinking!
