(1st Assault and Breakout at Klin fell to me surprisingly quickly, in just 4 battles I had them sown up, albeit against cadets)

The bad news is ... I've reached the milestone way to quickly ! lol Managing this feat in just 192 games ... which means i've got a heck of a lot more playing ahead of me to get 250 games under my belt before receiving the coveted award

Will the expert games i've played count toward the 250 total for Colonel? I dont think theyre listed on the number of battles i've fought, so im not sure if they count?

Also, as i have 50 or so more games to play .. is it in my interest to start playing expert games as a way of heading toward Brigadier?
Or will only games played once reaching promotion to colonel apply?

The already promoted Brigadiers' records tend to show that ALL previous expert games count, so should you play expert now it would indeed count towards promotion to brigadier. Although as these would not count for Colonel, you would not get closer to it

As a new trend seems to have appeared in the Brigadier Club as to music being broadcast, I thought I'd lighten up a bit this Colonel Club as well ! Might attract some more new members

Congratulations on meeting some of the requirements.
I have no idea if anyone has doen it quicker than you, but they will probably tell us.
You might promote before your 250th game. I for one am curious if you will. There have been people who did promote before game 250.
As said before, with the expert battles for Brigadier, we are not quite sure yet but it seems that they all count. So battle away at will.
Good luck and I am sure you will keep us posted.

Being promoted from Major appears to cause a dip in form, presumably as you are trying to win battles as the unfavoured side so often
Getting to Col ought to do the same, but it looks like that the number of Cdts played cancels that out.

Montelimar is an original - it was in the orginal public beta release (in 2010).
I thought Gallabat & Metemma, Toulon & Tunisia counted towards promotion.
If you want to be safe - win all standard scenarios from both sides. 
It is a good exercise to do and something to be proud of when you have achieved it.

Thanks for the info PH! Looks like I got my notes fouled up somewhere! (Objective 1 - Colonel with minimum damage to ingots...Objective 2 - win all scenarios...Objective 3 - play some SFTF....Objective 4 - Brigadier in another lifetime!)

Thanks! I thought I'd share my most epic move in my entire career.
In Rzhev as the axis you have 4 groups of Soviets on your left with their back against the wall. One of those spaces is a town with a temporary medal objective. The standard thing to do of course is to bring your Tigers up and pulverize them.
So I started out the game by softening up the group with an airstrike. A few turns later I brought one of my tigers up and sent another blast at their right flank. Everything was now ready. On turn 8 I played a Their Finest Hour and rolled a sweet 4 soldiers and a tank. Forward! It was the tank and two elite units on the left, and another soldier unit on the right. Karma looked down on me and said "This shall truly by Your Finest Hour". The soldier on the right did his job and wiped out his target. The tiger barely survived thin ice and an ambush to wipe out another two units. The other two elite units rolled some spectacular dice and wiped out their targets, with one of them moving into the town and collecting the medal there. 6 medals in one round and the game was over!

Hi all, It's been a nice journey getting into the colonel's club and am now just savouring the best bitter on draught in there....  .
My promotion was fairly routine, and steady progress was made in winning battles on all the standard scenarios with the exceptions of knightsbridge, warsaw and rhezv,(obviously quite a few attempts at the more difficult maps was needed....),but on the whole a pleasing path to promotion.
I battled quite a few cadets and although i thought this would be difficult to do because of the daunting nature of cadets being invited by lt.colonels...it was relatively easy with only the odd cadet throwing in the AI towel.
One particular highlight was playing my canadian pal, Colonel Hambylake at Iwo Jima and after a closely contested 2 rounds, I managed a behind enemy lines card for the U.S marines and needed both units of GI's too sneak up on the 2 japs entrenched in the subterranian tombs and destroy them....

My statistics are as follows:
total number of battles in standard scenarios 249.
wins 127, losses 122.
wins / losses by rank
17 / 16 cadet
22 / 18 2nd lts.
42 / 19 lts.
5 / 14 captains
19 / 26 majors
16 / 17 lt. cols
6 / 8 cols.
0 / 3 brigadiers.
One final note whilst playing against cadets , out of the 33 I played and in particular my 16 losses , 8 went on to be promoted!!, so good luck to all of them... 
I will now spend some of my time battling on the expert front and hope to see many familiar and happy colleagues there also.
P.s Hambylake if you want a rematch at the grinder , let me know.....

Filing a bug report is the way to go.
I have previously done this when I qualified for an award and it wasn't awarded, the award was subsequently made.

Yes I think you are (missing another requirement...).
Making it to the higher ranks becomes increasingly difficult: we couldn't end up with an Army of Colonels, could we?
In this particular case, you probably shouldn't expect so much from your earlier (ie pre-Lieutenant Colonel) fighting prowess...

That makes sense, but at present we have an army of cadets and lt.colonels with too few officers in between
A suggestion: I think it would be interesting if there could be only 1 Maréchal/General of the Army for each country at a time,
So 7 all together. And that they had to be challenged to loose their position (or be absent from Mem44online for a preordained amount of time).
