Turbos new Expert scenario Wed, 29 February 2012 16:59
After running into problems with my Attu map, I decided to replace it with a new scenario while I am working on the problems. This means that the following scenarios have been posted by me on M44O Expert:

1.) Valkenburg Airfield (official scenario by jdrommel)
2.) The Bruneval Raid
3.) Engineer Hill (under revision)

and now

4.) Grigorievka

I will add any new map to this list, and later start rotating the old ones.

I have now decided that I will rotate my expert scenarios after the newest one has received 10 (additional, if reposted) player ratings, but after one week at the earliest. The list so far consists of:

1.) Valkenburg Airfield (official scenario by jdrommel)
2.) The Bruneval Raid
3.) Engineer Hill (now revised, will be reposted soon)
4.) Grigorievka

and now

5.) Port Lyautey.

My "Engineer Hill" scenario has now been revised and is online again. Any feedback will be welcome.

The current list of my maps:

1.) Valkenburg Airfield (official scenario by jdrommel)
2.) The Bruneval Raid
3.) Engineer Hill (revised version now online)
4.) Grigorievka
5.) Port Lyautey

I also may say that some additional fine and interesting scenarios are already waiting for you and will be published in the near future.

Engineer Hill, my findings.

I played it against Johnny/Hermann. Hermann is very good as the japanese as his attacking style fits them very well.

A thouroughly enjoyable scenario. The Japanese try to overrun the defending Americans under cover of the night. A late sunrise sure helps the japanese as they prefer to fight in close contact.

When I played the Americans Hermann managed to get a Japanese inf into the Hospital tent with the objective medal. Even if I killed some of the unit he regenerated the next turn. Flagging them out would not work either, so in the end I killed other units for the win. Very strong position if you have center cards as the Japanese.

MOst of the fighting tends to be in the center and Gilbert and Pierucci Ridge flank. Prendergast and Fishhook Ridge flank sees some action along the line it shares with center flank.

A very nice scenario with lots of (sometimes hard) choices and plenty of fighting. I give it a solid 8 out of 10 Jeronimon SFTF points. Smile
