Group G Black-is-Back Häxxli dea1 VBallman20 shamogi womble 1st of last chance (lirex) I know my opening of this group is not nearly as sophisticated as Val's, but it is here. So, since we are in different times zones, scheduling becomes much more difficult. So, if everyone can list the times that they are regularly available, and we can try to figure out a schedule that will work. Looking forward to this round!! I will start with my hours, which kind of suck!! I am on Mountain time -8 CET. I am always available in the evenings my time, after 2000 or 2100, until 0100 (0400 - 0900 CET). I have certain/most Mondays that I am around, as it is normally my scheduled slow day for paperwork and time off. During the week, I work from 0630 until 1730 every day, so it makes it difficult for me to play, unless it is during my lunch, which is usually from 1200 to 1300. Saturdays and Sundays are up in the air, but I always have some free time on those days, just hard to predict when. I am always busy from 0800 to 1230 on Sundays. I am going to be out of town January 16 - Jan 22, and for the moment I don't know what kind of internet service I will have. But, I will be travelling on the 16 and 22, and will be going across the country and most likely will be not available those 2 days. Well, I know it is not perfect, but I will do what I can to work with everyone else and their schedule. If playing 1-2 games during my lunch works a large majority of the time, I will arrange that. My availabilities: I'm not available from Dec 21st to 26th and from Jan 18th to 27th (which implies I MUST have played my until the 17th). 4-9 am is a nogo on workdays. If all else fails I'm not happy but willing to do that on Saturday or Sunday mornings (= Friday or Saturday evening for Vball). In general European evenings is all I can offer on weekdays, on weekends I'm more flexible. I don't think it makes sense to play just 1 or 2 games during Vball's lunchtime. It's hard enough to find 1 date, let alone 10 ... Suggestion: We have 13 games to play with Vball, 8 without him. Let's try to have a "European session" where we play those 8, then look for 2 dates with Vball (or maybe even just 1 with a very long session). Vball: Do you find a Saturday where you are available during your day? That would be afternoon/evening for the rest, as it's Saturday we all can probably continue after midnight, too. Here is my availablility: Indeed Dec 31 is also a holiday in Germany....but I will be in Austria. I am not available between December 27 and Jan 6. Possible to play weekends, pretty flexible in European evenings (no nights though). Can also sometimes play European mornings and to some extend, but very limited, in the afternoon. Given Dea's schedule we will probably have to play most of the games between Jan 6 and 17. Jan 12 is fine for me. I agree, once we are together, we should play in a row as many games as possible. I am around on both Saturday December 29, and I should be around January 12 as well. I don't know the total availability I will have on those days, but I should have some. During the 29th, I am on call for surgery until after the New Year, so if I am not in surgery, I should have a lot of free time Saturday December 29 through Monday December 31, as I am only working if I am called in for emergency surgeries. Hello again we all need to schedule our days (can't keep them all free), so please let's try to agree on a date asap. We need a fixed date, where everyone confirms that he is available for 5 hours (careful estimate for 13 games, if we play at reasonable speed it should be faster). "maybe dates" don't work for me, I won't pass on other things I have to do or like to do for sitting in front of my PC to find out that we are not playing - we need something that's guaranteed. From what we've heard from womble and Brad (hello the rest )Jan 12th is the only Saturday where all players might be available. Thanks for the details Dea! I am unfortunately 8 hours behind CET, so it makes it difficult. However, I can play almost any Sunday except the 20. I am also out the 18-19 of January. However, I really would prefer to play some of the games before the 12th, rather than all of the games in one sitting. But, if that is our only option, I will make it work. For those of you in this group. I will be online a lot from tonight until tuesday evening. If for some reason we all meet up in the lobby, we can play a few games to get them out of the way. Glad to see that we make some progress so far Sat, 12th, 13:00 Mountain/21:00 CET is confirmed by dea, shamo, lirex, Häxxli (starting 23:00 CET), Vball (of course if you manage to get some done before, that's great). As womble mentioned that as OK before she left for vacation, I guess it's fine with her, too. Black - are you around? Let's start to work on the Euro evening in parallel - only 8 games, should be OK in one session. Hmmmmm.... I think everyone has set aside the 12th to play now, but Black can't play that day we are now finding out. So, what does everyone want to do? I know I can't play euro evenings with the rest of you, so do we want to play every game without Black on the 12th? However, that only leaves 6 games to play that day and more importantly and worse, it leaves 7 games to arrange with Black and myself in them. What is the deadline for this round? Do we still want to start at the same time on the 12th if we can only complete 6 of the needed 13 games with me? Especially considering the start time for Haxxli isn't until 2300. Let me know what everyone thinks. This was the reason I started this post the first day we knew who was in this group as I was hoping to figure out a schedule that we could make work. I see that Haxxli is on playing Sysy it appears right now. I am guessing Shamo is out working for the moment. I will start working on getting some extra time off for Monday to make sure we can play some games then as well if needed. Even if we can get 1-3 games in today, that will help a little. If not, when can everyone play on Monday. Monday is the only day during the week that I have some flexibility with work. However, next Monday will not be an option as I have a vacation at the end of next week starting the 16th, so I am very busy next Monday. So, I will open up time for Monday the 7th if I know everyone will be there. I am going to have to take some time away from work, but I will make this work! So, everyone please confirm what time you can start on Monday the 7th. I will try to be on as late as possible today, but it won't be long. What about tomorrow? I don't return until later, so I am happy to stay up late if people want to play tomorrow morning. However, I can also play tomorrow afternoon (CET evening), even if we start after 2200 for dea.
