Days of Wonder releases Pirate's Cove - Buccaneering Boardgame of the high seas!
Players battle each other and Legendary Pirates
for the rights to plunder for gold, treasure and fame.
Los Altos, CA; Paris, France - October 6, 2003 - Days of Wonder, Inc. announced the upcoming release of Pirate's Cove™, a new boardgame of swashbuckling and adventure designed by American game authors, the late Paul Randles, and Daniel Stahl.
Players sail the islands surrounding Pirate's Cove, hoping to become the most famed and feared pirate in all the 7 seas. To do so they must navigate shrewdly, fight recklessly and plunder mercilessly. Each of the islands is inhabited with experienced craftsmen who can help strengthen their ship, enabling them to sail faster, battle harder and carry more treasure. However, they must first successfully battle and defeat any enemy pirates who visit that island.
Pirate's Cove is the second in Days of Wonder's series of big format board games and like Mystery of the Abbey, it features extraordinary illustrations and top-notch components.
