In the "modified setup" section there's a typo ("Give 6 Nile Merchants (instead of the standard 2)" should be "the standard 3").

This will be a great variant for me to play individually with my children... my son particularly. He's only six... but he really enjoys collecting the cards and matching them to the item(s) which he wants to build. Not having to worry so much about keeping track of corruption tokens will make it easier for him to enjoy the game -- since, in this case, he doesn't have to worry about meeting the crocodile!

I got a chance to play the two player variant and it seems to work well. I have only had the game for about a week, but it does flow well with two players.

Although multi-player is almost always more fun, I really appreciate the fact that DOW games play well even with only two players. And some even work well played all by myself!!
Just a belated thank you for the official two-player rules.
