Played our first game of Battlelore with HYW rules and Medieval Lore, and ran into a (small) problem.

The Warrior Card 'Cry Havoc' allows dice bonuses to target units for every warrior level above '1'.

The trouble is, using Medieval Lore rules, everything is cast at level 1, so this means that this card effectively becomes useless, yes?

You get no extra dice. But Lore rolls now hit. That is the advantage of this card. Though the cost of it is pretty steep at 12 Lore.

That's what I mean. The bonus dice make this card worth the 12 Lore - an extra 1 in 6 chance of hitting is VERY expensive for the cost IMO

Of course, you can always toss it back in after you draw another Lore card, since you can only keep 1 Lore Card in Medieval.

No one said you HAD to play the Lore card you drew...
