It's a *very* brief tease (really, just a picture of the cover). It appears the Dwarven Bull Riders will share a release with a Human Heavy Cavalry unit of some sort that uses lances. The Human unit looks fantastic but I'm still not sold on the looks of the Bulls though.
It is interesting to me that they are mixing the Humans and Dwarves together into a single release. Personally, I'm very interested in the cavalry with lances, but haven't been interested in collecting the dwarves at all. I'm not sure if this is a brilliant way for DoW to get me to purchase a set that I would otherwise have avoided, or if I won't pick the Lance unit up at all because I don't plan to use half the units (assuming there are only two unit types in the set of course). I'll probably wait for the rules to be released and decide then.
On the plus side, the "Scottish Wars" title indicates that DoW will be expanding outside of the Hundred Years War setting and exploring other wars from that time period. If I can grow used to the ideas of the Dwarves representing the Scottish in this setting, perhaps I'll be more comfortable with them as Scottish allies in the 100 Years War setting.
Heh, I guess there is more to this little blog entry than one might expect.

Likewise, I am not convinced about scottish dwarves on highland bulls, sounds more than a bit silly to me.
The armoured lancers look interesting but not sure i would pay for whole set just to get the lancers.
Couldn't we just use whatever rules they provide and buy some 20mm medieval lancers from other reputable vendors??

I do not play any Lore Adventures, do not use the Lore deck at all but I have no problem using the Dwarfs as Scots and the Goblins as Saracen. The New Human Lancers look cool and I can't wait to use them.NOW if the Hero pack comes out with Edward 1st and Edward 3rd, Henry 5th, Robert Bruce, Willam Wallace, Joan of Arc and Du Guesclin it would make us Medieval players real happy.

I was not going to buy the Dwarve bull riders, but when I see the human lance unit was in here i may have to get this. I was not expecting them to be combining this.

Very true, also extremely silly. Goblins on Wolves/Hyenas I can go with.... Ostriches, Emu's, flamingoes or whatever it is that the Goblins are mounted on, no I don't think I can go with that. Anything that makes games workshop look sensible is not really for me.

I dunno about you guys, but the I like the mounted dwarves. Mainly I like the idea of a dwarf saddling up on a bull, pointing it at the enemy, smacking the bulls butt and holding on for dear life. Sounds both hilarious and very dwarfish to me.

Moreso if the dwarf that is mounted has a longsword..and thus begs the question - which is longer, the sword or the person holding it!!
Wonder if the dwarf unit on bulls have to do "hold checks" to see if they keep on their mount. That would be somewhat "humourous"

(I wonder what the special ability will be? Gass attack?)
see also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mooning and specificly the Notable incidents of mooning section to keep it on topic.
