Terrain Hexes

I just bought a copy of Battlelore and am wondering if a unit is on a terrain hex does that terrain block line of sight. For example can a unit on top of elevated terrain or in a Forest be attack by an archer 4 hexes away?

The above answer is good for a lot of differnet circumstances.
But in general, the hex that your unit is on, and the hex that your target is standing on does not block LOS. Only the terrain/units in between typically block LOS. However, the terrain that you stand on my determine if the terrain in between still blocks LOS or not.
