how come the flag socket is in the front when all the others are at the rear is theis anouther cock up or what?

Also it could be that picture might be from an actual prototype perhaps ?!?! (and thus maybe DoW corrected it before it was shipped to the production). Anyone know for sure ?!?

If not, maybe it was set that way to make it easier to tell it apart from the other mounted units. (And you know we have SO many of those - yes, that is a joke folks!)

And just perhaps that particular unit needs it flag in front so it knows what type of unit it is. And thus use the unit indicator flag as a pointed weapon against a unit (maybe it gets 1 more die due to it). And thus maybe make my other mounted units jealous since it won't die so fast.

Of course it could be an oops on DoW part - but we know that DoW is only human.

Personally I think it is one of the other items though....
