The Ultra Pro should do you fine...and they're cheap. I use them for my Axis & Allies Miniatures cards, especially for tournaments and game shows. I don't use them on my M44 cards personally, since shuffling them so much would make the card protectors make them a little tough to slide off of each other...not impossible mind you, but tougher to shuffle. I would think it would add to the thickness of the deck a little, as well, but nothing that would be to annoying. Honestly, I've been shuffling my M44 deck A LOT, and the cards hold up incredibly well...good cardstock DoW!...and a replacement deck isn't that expensive. Plus, when you're hooked as bad as we are, you'll most likely get a second core game for those Overlord-type scenarios, so...you guessed it...another deck!

I found the ultra-pro sleeves to be too short (they work great for GMT cards but not DOW). Try http://www.aplayerschoice.com/cgi-local/shop3.pl/SID=1072108 057782401918/page=products.htm . I use the standard-sized clear ones which leaves both sides of the card visible, good for multi-deck games. They are a little wide but very functional.

I got the yu-gi-oh size sleeves, which fit PERFECTLY for me! They're maybe 1/8th of an inch too short, but otherwise provide a tight and perfect fit.
