Oh, thekid lost 4-0...how can this happen kid? I thought only monstars can be beaten 4-0 in a matchup (while there is no chance of winning a single game because of bad tickets an few locos)...
But maybe kid your defeat is an error in the matrix. In this case this post will be gone as soon as the matrix is readjusted.

How can it happen, I got spanked plain and simple. But you don't see me whining in the forum like you, that my opponent got lucky and that was the only reason he won. If you were in the lobby afterward you would have seen some of my comments like wow that was an a**-whooping. Nothing but praise for my opponent because he deserved it and I got pounded. What can you do but take it like a man and go down with class. Well you could chose your whiny sissy route but I'm not a sore loser like you.

If you saw my SPWT games against Elric you might reconsider your comment, kid--- if you have not seen them ask e.g. Mr. Homn what happened after I lost 4 out of 6 games
I am not that easy to analyze kid...broaden your horizon (as a german proverb suggests). I hope you have a horizon after all... some say that you are colourblind as you see the world in white and black...
The "thekid" admirers are the goodies...and the others are...well you can guess...
Greetings from your biggest fan kid

Penguin Power-daedin 4-3
Well, it's not casual that I'm not top 20 in Europe. Just happy because i'm learning and enjoying everytime more the Europe map.
I think I need 100 or 200 games more to be really competitive. Let see what happen next year
Well played Penguin, good luck in the rest of the tournament.

Qorlas vs Angel6
0:4 (1 tie)
3 very close games, I was lucky with starting, lokos and long tickets, but unlucky with tunnels and short ticks.
Interesting games, thanks Q !

Thx for the games Angel
in the first 3 (game 1 and 3 in particular) I was almost sure to gain the edge at the end so the loss by one and the tie were two hard blows.
In the last two I probably lost concentration after the first 3 really close games
Grats again and good luck for the next rounds!

First Quarterfinal is finished (and I'm proud to be the first semifinalist ):
PenguinPower vs. UEG-chrismmm 3 - 4
Starting was equal (4-3 for PP), I had some advantages in tix, he with the locos. Most of the games were close and I think both played very well.
You can find the screenshots in the tikipedia.

Thx PP for the games.

Quarterfinal:
Patterson vs AT_Angel6
4:5
2 times, I was allowed to start,
0 times, I got Pal-Mos or Kop-Erz,
3 times, I got 2-4 lokos.
I was always thinking: "don't be a whiner, be a winner! don't be a whiner, be a winner!"
Patterson got Pal-Mos or Kop-Erz 6 or 7 times and Brest-Petrograd 1 or 2 times. However, he got 0 locos in one game and I remember him once paying 2 additional locos for a tunnel. Also, his 2nd ticket often was bad, so I had a chance in almost every game
The last game was extremely close, too. In the last round Patterson built a station on the wrong city, else I think I would have won by barely 2 or 3 points.
Overall, I think it was a great match, at least for me becaust I won - thx Patrick!

Hi
Best of Nine for QF and beyond, all games must be open and rated. Was the same last year for SPWC.
Read the rules... All of you...

John_ and I played our EMC round of 16 match, and the result was JJZZZJZ. We each felt free to get rid of our long tix and muck up the opponent. John managed to beat me with Ed-Ath in the sixth game, first time I've lost to that ticket in a long time. Final game was 118-117. I came out of our match very impressed, and feeling lucky.
Next up is the battle of Z**o

Today PenguinPower and me played our decisive game ... fortunately I won with a hard ticket combo.
So, complete result of PenguinPower vs. chrismmm_1987 is 3 - 5.
Looking forward to the semi.

Erps is absolutely right in his statement even when applying strict judicial standards:
In the rules for the SPWT and the EMC he gives a "legal" definition of "The finals". This term covers all games from the quarterfinals to the final.
I quote: "The Last 3 rounds of the tournament are called Quarterfinal (8 players), Semifinal (4 players), Final (2 players), together they are called "The Finals"...
...A match is played as a Best Of Seven Match in the first rounds and as a Best of Nine Match in "The Finals".
So from the QF onwards 5 games must be won to be victorious. Any other conclusion makes no sense. Furthermore, erps would have written "The final" (singular not plural) if he only wanted the final of the EMC or SPWT to be played as a best of nine (which means that the player who reaches 5 match-wins first is the winner).
Greetings
