 M44 figures that talk to each other

Er, now, this might sound silly (ok, it is  ) but couldn't we just scrap the idea of "M44 the PC game" and equip the figures to actually talk to each other (in suitable accents) and to listen to the orders we give them (likewise), like these chess figures:

They could also be trained to shout "Banzai!", "Arrraghh!" and all the other things they used to say in Commando magazine  !
