Hoping that listening to some of them bring some happy memories,

Please enjoy this 17th day,

@ brice and all
Do you consider something like the tickipedia page which I just call "wishlist revisited" useful? Any comments?

here's the link: http://www.informatik.uni-frankfurt.de/~erps/tickipedia/inde x.php/Wishlist

Yes it is very useful, there were some features that weren't in the thread nor in our internal bug tracker (chat history for instance).

Maybe Abraham drank too much milk that day :

<<

We must not promise what we ought not, lest we be called on to perform what we cannot.

[Abraham Lincoln]

for I wonder how he saw that we never can what we ought not.

Happy 19th day,

My Dearest Kolmo,

What is this promise you keep referring to? Regarding when the patch would be implemented, as far as I am aware Brice only said that they were "aiming" for it to be done by the end of Febuary 2009. Yes, some things must have happened and they "missed" where they were aiming Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed but I'm not sure trying to "shame" them because they missed is productive. Confused

Come on my friend, give DoW a break. For all we know the patch is nearly done but because of some of the things said on here, the incentive to work on it and ignore other pressing projects has been diminished. Shocked Shocked Shocked

Why don't you check out some of the other games on this website? I can promise you that with you being as smart as you are, that you would really enjoy Queens Necklace. It's a great game and I would be glad to explain the quirks and details of the game to you after you have read the brief rules and watched the excellent animated tutorials. (more on that in another post).

Come and join us kolmo, I think we would have a lot of fun!

Baron

p.s. oh and trust me, after you start playing Queens Necklace you won't even worry about when the patch is coming for ttr. Smile Smile Smile Heck I haven't played a game of ttr in 3 weeks now.

Wow Kolmo,

If I had known how much you treasured my posts (even after thier usefullness has long been expired) I would have printed out and signed copies for you! Very Happy

It's not too late! For just $19.95 plus S&H I'll print these out and send them right off! For only $39.95 more you can have each page carefully and lovingly autographed.

Now then lets actually address the issues shall we?

I asked you a question which you did not answer yet.

1. What promise is this you keep referring to?

Also I specifically ask you another question that I have alluded to.

2. Do you think that your attempts to shame DoW or Brice are
a. productive
b. counter-productive
c. have no effect either way

and for the final and most important question

3. Will you come and join me for some excellent games of Queens Necklace?

As you know I think you are a very intelligent person (and I TRULY hope you realize I am NOT being sarcastic at all when I say this), and so I hope you will come and join the few of us that have realized what a great game QN is.

Baron

p.s. I got to the number 1 rank in 75 games, why don't you (or others) try to do the same? (without cheating of course, not that you would ever cheat but just saying for everyone....)

My Dearest Kolmo,

Again you avoid the issue and instead respond with incredibly non constructive comments.

I even tried to make the questions as specific and simple as possible. One was a multiple choice and another a simple yes or no. Laughing

I guess instead of an intelligent discourse, you could just keep complaining over and over. Is that constructive?

Baron,

I am quoting you because :

1. I don't have time to read properly enough to respond ;
2. I want to be sure you won't edit it ad nauseam, in case I do in a near future.

But if you want a response, you might consider stop concealing insults when you're speaking to me.

Thank you for your genuine concern,

k

Concealing insults? I honestly do not know how you can think this. I do not believe I have done so.

I said clearly that I don't think your last two posts and comments were not constructive. I personally don't consider that an insult per se but if you happen to then at least we can agree it wasn't concealed.

And saying that you have been complaining? Do you consider that an insult? I don't.

My saying that you have not chosen to have an intelligent discourse. How is that an insult?

I just don't understand you. I think that I could say the most positive thing that I believe about you and you still would consider me to be sarcastic and insulting you.

So I don't know what I could say or do. I seem to be dammned if I do and damned if I don't.

I guess all I can say then is that I apologize if what I said was taken as a personal insult. I don't believe I meant it exactly that way but I apologize nonetheless.

Oh and p.s. most of my edits are because I mispelled something or I left out a word in a sentance. I tend to not take the time to properly spell check or proofread before I hit submit reply. But it's all good. Smile

Again, Sorry,

Baron

Your apologies are accepted, B.

There is one recent post where where you left a single dot. And there are others too. But it's all good.

As for your question : you really think I would do that if I thought it was detrimental to the bringing of the next version ? I wonder how you would think it counter-productive. As to know if it's any good, we'll see soon enough. I wonder what it will look like when we hit more potent prime numbers.

Thank you again for your genuine concern,

k

I like this :

<<

Players will be able purchase precisely what they want for significantly less than a yearly subscription and get access to it permanently.

even if I do not understand its financial basis.

Those of us who have "kept the faith" will be given super special accounts while those of you who have doubted, grumbled and complained will be given the status of Eternal Guest. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

B,

The point was never about the delay per se. The point was about professionalism in its management. DOW has every reasons to be very boastful : look at all the changes ! But look at the public relations it has done here.

Rest assured that Windoze would have taken 5 years to promote all these new additions. But at least they would have taken proper measures towards their clientele. I am not suggesting DOW to imitate Windoze in every ways...

Besides, if I really had lost faith, why would I waste time with counting ? I would simply take my business elsewhere. I would miss the competition a bit, and the community a lot. Nonetheless, I would still play on Lexulous, Freechess, Fumbbl or else, maybe a bit more. All free sites. All great sites. All very professional sites.
