Capture the flag scenario Sat, 01 August 2009 03:58
Using victory medals as flags, a unit takes the flag and has to take it back to base where their flag waits. If a unit is eleminated while carrying the flag the flag is dropped and must be carried back by that flags owners.
It needs revision but for the most part what do you think? Very Happy

It could work but I think I'd rather play Day of Defeat online.

Welcome to the wonderful world of the Memoir Forum!

Sounds like a fun idea. You should download the Memoir '44 Editor and make a map (or 9) that would work for this idea! Smile

I'm a teacher (3rd grade for the last three years and 5th grade next year) and I've taught Memoir '44 to my students. If you created some maps for it and tested the game to make sure it was as fun as it sounds, I'll play some of them with my students when school starts back up. Cool

Sounds like a fun idea.

I think the Behind enemy lines card with the possibility of moving six hexes will be a powerful card in such a scenario.

Maybe the idea would work even betteer on a breakthrough map with the added depth of the battlefield.

Instead of a flag maybe you could do a rescue the POWs scenario.

The rescuers need to get in and out quickly while the oppossing side needs to reclaim the prisoners or eliminate them.

Rescuers hold the BEL card.

Nice idea about POW rescue missions.

But one problem ca be that a lot of the action might happen in one section, while the others see little action.

But that would have to be part of the plan. But I would hate to see the POW left in a section without any cards to order it.

Maybe give the unit that rescued the POW the possibility of moving one hex without an order? So any card could order the unit with POW to move 1 hex, no battle and no other units moved.

Could solve the problem with not having cards for the section.

Want to see a good POW-saving scenario? Check out the best scenario (well, the only one too) about the Raid on Cabanatuan:

Thanks, Jdrommel! Cool
