I now have all the expansions (except Battle Map 3) and am geting a little confused over cards.

If I can remember correctly I have:

- Two base games with a complete set of cards in each (will they both be the same or are there different versions with slightly different cards?)
- Campaign book with some cards inlcuded
- Air Pack with loads of cards included
- Operation Overlord with two sets of cards
- Dont think there were any cards in any of the other expansions?

How should I be mixing these cards up to make the latest set?
I know I have to keep Overlord cards seperate for Overlord games
Air Pack terrain and summary cards, are they the latest ones?
Do I throw away the terrain and summary cards in the main pack, or add them together?
The other cards in the Air Pack, do I keep them only for Air Pack games or replace previous cards with them?

Is there a card guide of what I should keep with what? What I can throw away (or put to one side)? What is only used with specific expansions?

The Air Pack Summary cards are the only ones of their kind...some expansions have added to them (the Med. Expansion and the new Battle Map) but the cards that came in the Air Pack is the backbone for the new Summary Card system. Having said that, you can find all of them online at the Card Compendium.

You could toss them out, or use them as book marks like I do. They've been replaced by the cards that came in the Air Pack.

Which cards are you talking about?

No, there's no guide. There are some of the Summary cards used only for, say, the Pacific Theater (ones like Rice Paddies, Jungle, etc) but you don't need to separate those cards out on their own. I keep mine in a Baseball card booklet in numerical order so they're easy to find. But when it comes down to it, I use my Player Aid more than the cards!

When I get home later tonight I will do a resume of all the cards I have, then I should be able to explain better.

I'm guessing you're talking about the Air Sortie cards, which are the only Air Pack cards that aren't Summary cards. If so, they don't replace any cards from the basic game, but are added when Air Rules are in effect (this is specified in the scenario itself, and there are some scenarios outside of the Air Pack that also use them).

Hey Vulch,

You may not have had a chance to see which cards you were thinking of, but I think Shnik is right...you must be thinking of the Air Sortie Cards. Smile

You get two Air Sortie Cards with the Air Pack and they are just added to your deck for battles that call for Air Rules. You don't take out the Air Power card because it acts as an Air Sortie Equivalent. Cool

You can find more info about the Air Sortie cards in the FAQ... Very Happy

I have bought those plastic baseball card pages that fit in a binder and put my summary cards in them. I now have a summary card binder! This way you are not shuffling through a bunch of cards to find the one you need.

I have documented all my cards below. Questions are in bold

Base Game has
40 Command cards that give section commands
20 Command cards that give tactical commands
7 Terrain cards (obsolete with Air Pack?)
1 Unit card (obsolete with Air Pack?)
1 Obstacle card (obsolete with Air Pack?)

Overlord Deck has
40 Command cards - Section
20 Command cards - Tactical
2 Command cards - Air Sortie
2 Nations cards
(I assume all the overlord cards are only used in Overlord games and that the 2 Overlord Air Sortie cards replace the normal Air Sortie cards in Overlord games using Air Rules?)

Air Pack (plus a few from Campaign Book) has
63 New Terrain cards 1-62 and 66
Am I missing some? What happened to 63-65?
Are these used in ALL games, including Overlord?
2 Air Sortie cards
Used in ALL non Overlord games with Air Rules?
8 Aeroplane cards - Used with Air Rules only?
3 SWA'S cards - Used in ALL games including Overlord?
4 Nations cards - Used in ALL games including Overlord?
(The two US Marines Nations cards in Overlord and Air Pack are identical, but the Red Army cards in Overlord and Air Pack are different. Do I keep the Overlord versions just for Overlord?)
10 Air Rules cards - Used with Air Rules only?
17 Troops cards 1-15, 21, 22 - Used in ALL games?
Am I missing some? What happened to 16-20?
22 Action cards - Used in ALL games?

Actually, you should have 4 Air Sortie Cards in your Overlord deck.

80 Command cards
40 Tactical cards

The Overlord deck is essentially 2 regular decks of cards put together.

The Base Game reference cards are basically obsolete if you have the airpack (and you do).

The air plane, air sortie cards and air rules cards are used in any game, including overlord, if you are using air rules (or if they are mandatory - not sure I've seen any mandantory air rules).

The overlord specific reference cards you mentioned (e.g., nations) are for overlord only.

All reference cards not specific to overlord are used in any game, including overlord, but they are for reference only. They are not required if you've memorized the rules. These reference cards are Terrain, Action, Troops, Nations, SWAs, Air Rules, and Airplanes.

Terrain cards 1-62 plus 66 is correct. No 63-65 that I know of.
Troop cards 1-15, 21, 22 is correct.

I imagine the skipped numbers are because some expansion(s) are still being worked on.

Missing terrain and troop cards will be included with Sword Of Stalingrad battlemap coming early december. These cards (the ones you are missing) are terrain, and units introduced in Med.Theater, Hedgerow Hell and Tigers in the Snow.

If there are still any missing numbers after you get the Sword of Stalingrad battle map, you'll see them coming in a future expansion! Smile

Yeah sorry, I only detailed one of the two decks I have.

Thanks for you input everyone, it's a lot clearer now.
Sword of Stalingrad will be purchased as soon as a UK stockist has it available.
