Angel - Mudda (one of possible pushed up final games)

Result: 2-4

The six games had everything, excitement, cheering, winners without start, fights for longest, blocks and reblocks, tic drawing, all in all no impossible tic-combos, balanced loko fiending and miscounting - all on high level!

Thx again for very good games and cya in the lobby Michael! Mission "revenge" successfully accomplished Rolling Eyes

Angel - Mudda (one of possible pushed up final games)

Result: 2-4

Those games were really quite interesting, it took me 46 more games until 3am in the morning to get them out my head - almost Rolling Eyes

Overall I surely had the better ticks, but I was a bit outplayed even though I'm not aware of a real mistake I made - which is not a good sign at all Twisted Evil

The first game was a very lucky win for me, I think Andi could have won it by taking one more card in his penultimate move. After that I don't think he made any more mistakes.

The second game was very annoying. After 30 cards I didn't have enough locos/right colors, so I took 2 open cards, getting two locos (this happend to me much too often yesterday - I hate it Evil or Very Mad ). In the very end I had two single colors (black & something), with a 2 I would have won automatically. I had the additional chance to win with a 3 in one more move, so I took the open black but didn't get a second one (or loco).
I really took a long time in this game, but just couldn't find a route without leaving those 2 single and useless cards - this was very disappointing Mad

The third game I can't remember at all, which might be a sign that I "wasn't really there" Confused - 1:2

In the forth game I had Van-Mon and Van-SF, starting with 6 orange and 6 white, Andi playing 6 yellow and 6 blue and Cal-Hel.
To secure the western part and hopefully don't show Van-Mon, I played Sea-Cal with green, Andi answering with 6 grey.
I held 5 blacks, 8 pink, 3 blue and 3 locos, so I surely was blockable, only question how to play to show Sea-NY and not Van-Mon. I played 6 pink, Andi 3 grey (Tor-Mon) which was great.
Honestly, I don't think I can win from here, but it was close in the end, as I made Van-Santa with longest and good ticket points.
I miscalculated in the ending (I thought I won Rolling Eyes ), but with only one possible ticket to draw I would always hope that my opponent doesn't have the best possible tickets - 1:3

In the fifth game I played with OK but not perfect central ticks and Andi started the game with eastern ones. He hit me hard with 3 sixes in the North. I struggled with my route, but when Andi played 2 green from Chicago, I knew the game would be decided around Little Rock, where we both needed to go.
In the end I just had the 3 locos to play Little-NO to get a very close longest and a scrappy win - 2:3 and still in the match Surprised

In the sixth game I started with Cal-Pho and SSM-Okl vs Eastern ticks from Andi (Tor-Mia & ???). I got 6 white and 6 grey and I really think I should have won from here. But Andi found a good way through the center, disturbing me heavily. I had to go short ways and I never knew what colors to use, respectively which colors I would need later on. In the end I gave up longest and lost 103:111.
Maybe I can play more accurate, but maybe Mudda would have found an answer to any move I could have made.
Maybe it was a mistake to start with 6 white, indicating Cal-Pho. Starting with 6 grey would have made SSM-Okl + Winni-Little much more plausible. On the other hand, starting with 6 white I was not afraid of 6 grey, but starting with 6 grey and opponents 6 white would have been an absoulte killer Twisted Evil
2:4 Uh Oh

My team mates will probably disagree, but I guess yesterday I played "as well as in last year's final vs Horo" - OK, but not good enough to win Rolling Eyes

GRATS MUDDA!

You had at least 2 possible tickets (Cal-Pho and Por-Pho, not counting Cal-SLC, probably in Mudda's hand). Not sure it was "enough" to draw ?

In the sixth game :
AT_Angel6 écrit le Tue, 17 November 2009 10:54

Maybe I can play more accurate, but maybe Mudda would have found an answer to any move I could have made.

As a simple observer, I thought that you should have played the 5 yellow, instead of the 1 in the middle (at this moment) !
Of course, you're right to say that Mudda would have probably found a good answer to that, but... Rolling Eyes

Anyway, I'm only a very good observer, but not a so good player than you both ! Embarassed
It was a great big match, thanks for it... and my little 6 yo daughter appreciated it too, while eating her soup. Wink

Well, "only" 2 days needed to realize that I didn't play very well vs Mudda Rolling Eyes

The Screenshot helped me to remember game#3, where I lost by 20 points vs LA-Mia & Den-Pitts. In the last two moves I could have done better by 14 points, still losing by 6 - at least one loss that I couldn't avoid (probably).

But thinking about game#4 hurts more and more. There I made 2 clear mistakes (6 pink and miscounting in the end) and one disastrous mistake - maybe my worst move of all NCs - the 5 blacks without being able to play the 4 blacks either Evil or Very Mad

And most interesting for me was game#6, an extreme complex game, for me too difficult to analyse it 100%. The remaining fact for me is that I played it very cowardly Evil or Very Mad
And fear of loss is certainly the path to losing... Twisted Evil

PS: sorry for so much posting here, but I do it for myself and maybe one or two readers are interested Wink
