Hi all.
I must say i didnt saw that the final should be played in one day limit untill some days ago. Still i think it's quite hard to have the Clash of the Clashes in just one day respecting 10 players personnal lifes and schedules.
Some may say that was already known, still some might just be aware they cannot play a current day a week, a day before that...I'm one of those.
So my question is line ups are sent friday...we can play untill saturday...so in theory if UEG cant submit 3 players they lose or vice versa. Sorry dont see this fair and above all dont see why we need to play all games in one day. the drama? we had drama all they way into the finals 
P.s Yes i cannot play saturday

I see now in the NC 2009 that playing time tillSaturday. Hopefully this can solve TRUEs problem.
I agree that having all games the same day could be a problem.
I'm sure we'll solve this

Hi folks,
first of all GRATS to TRUE and UEG 
As I was involved in drafting the schedule maybe I can help with some explanations.
1) It's same procedure as every year.
The majority of the spectators would prefer all games to be played on one day - the super final day, big event for everyone to watch.
As such a day would have to be a long one, Saturday fits best.
Therefore we always ask the teams to reserve a specific Saturday in advance (in case they reach the final), and try to be there on this day if at all possible.
But well - if you absolutely can't, you can't.
2) The time until when the final must be finished depends on the masters tournament, that is organized by Qorlas on Dec 11th to 13th. (NC winner and runner up get points for the masters). Up to Qorlas to define, when he needs the result.
3) Ways to speed up the process:
3a) Why wait, the finalists are known - Send your lineup today. Don't wait for SKM to publish it, just exchange it yourself after both captains have sent it to SKM (once it's sent to the TD you can't change it anymore anyway)
3b) Agree the playing times for the slots beforehand (of course without names)
e.g., Slot 1 plays Friday, Slot 2&3 Saturday, Slot 3&4 Sunday.
Then you cannot run into the problem, that player A is only available on Saturday and his opponent only on Sunday.
Worked perfectly well with UEG last year

It's clear that TRUE is completely caught off guard by the fact that they have actually reached the final 
Sorry guys, for the sarcasm. I am only jealous not to have reached the final myself.

I allready posted in the line-up thread, that i am really sorry, that i mixed up slot 4 and 5. The problem was, that i am not going to have internet access at home right now. Becuause of that fact, i phoned Eva last evening, telling her the lineup I had in mind ( Eva slot 4 and Tom slot 5). With that knowledge Eva and Olof exchanged the lineups in the lobby, so that they are known by both teams faster.
The mistake is for sure my fault, and i just can say Sorry for that. For sure I havent known the TRUE lineup before. So i hope it is ok for all, if we leave slots 4 and 5 as we got to know them first. If someone is not conform with that, we can for sure change UEG-position 4 and 5.
Please let me know during the day how we will handle that, i have internet access at work until 5 pm today. After that i ll first be online again, when i am going to play my match vs. Magic Hansen on Sunday evening.
I hope no one will be angry with me, cause of that fact. For sure it was not my intension to give a wrong lineup beforehand.

Just to be sure.
I know UEG*s would except both variants, either 4) womble 5) tom or the other way round. It would be the best, if Olof, as the captain of TRUE, would post, which constellation is fixed now. SO that slot 4 and 5 can arrange their games.
I am fine with both possibilities, just, cause it was my fault, i d like to let u choose which of those clashboards is uptodate.

PS. Last night just after I thought it was strange that UEG-captain wasn't connected my internet connection went down. First time ever. The Cable technician had to work for three hours to replace some burnt details.

Thank you for the games, Olof and GraTS for the 3-4!
Cant say I had bad tix or bad number of lokos, even four starts on my side, but Olle had great sense of wisdom in laying the right 6ers at the right time (me with LA Chi and Dul Elp - BUFFFF 6 black gone or me with Sea NY - BUFFFF 6 orange, 6 white, 4 blue)...
One game I remember was me with Den Elp and Dul Elp (3 lokos, only 2 6ers but longest) versus 3 eastern tix... theses days are everybodys destiny but all in all of course well played by Olof...
Hope the other UEGs can correct the result today and tomorrow!
Sry team but with this series of games I was not able to score!

I think UEG won by 2:2 plus a forfeit, but then I'm not completely sure either.
Grats to both teams. Maybe Volley and Miguel could arrange a bo7 series sometime soon (just for fun of course  )

It just seems very odd that this is the biggest tournament of the year, it gets down to the finals, and you can't even tell who won for sure.
During the other rounds, tickipedia was updated within the day even within the hour of matches taking place, and around comes the finals and virtually nothing eventhough the matches apparently took place 2 days ago.
So it appears UEG won, so GRATS to them.

Hi,
at first thx to all for congratulating, thx to team TRUE for this fantastic final, thx to all participants for this great event, thx to my teammates for this succesful NC and thx to SKM for doing a really hard but very succesful job.
SKM wrote the official statement concerning the match Tom-Miguel in the other thread:
"The match Miguel vs Volleytom has been ruled a forfeit by Miguel in favor of Volleytom. I hate that it turned out this way, especially in the finals, but apparently there was nothing to be done to get the match played in time."
It seems that Miguel had time to play at friday night only, after this he was gone into holiday (see the TD-thread for details).
Concerning my match vs. maia the result was updated very fast at tickipedia so I thought this result was clear. So, just for the statistic:
TRUE maia03 vs. UEG-chrismmm 0-4
I think it wasn't my worst game in my TTR history. Even without perfect colours or tics (Mon-Atl, Bos-Mia) everything went very fine on that evening.

I think the games of the final were very interesting and there were chances to win for both till the last games, so it was great for the spectators, too!
