Heroic leader

Is the heroic leader considerted one of the 4 figures in an infantry unit?
If the unit is wiped out and the heroic leader dice role yields a star then does that = a victory medal + another victorty medal for the unit that was destroyed

An infantry with an heroic leader is 4 figures.
When the fourth figure is elliminated it counts as 1 victory medal.The heroic leader then rolls the die. On a star he dies and counts as another medal.
Any other result on the die and he is placed with the nearest friendly Infantry unit.

Actually 2 dice are rolled although it is not clear if the attacker or the player who owns the heroic leader rolls them. It would seem to make more sense that the attacker rolls.

I love playing battles with Heroic Leaders in them!  Too bad there aren't more...maybe I'll have to try designing one.
