Behind Enemy Lines

The behind enemy lines card says "Issue an order to 1 infantry unit. Unit may move up to 3 hexes. Unit may battle with 1 additional die, then move again up to 3 hexes. Terrain movement restrictions are ignored. Terrain battle restrictions still apply."
thats the important part, now, I used this card and me and my brother (who I was playing againest) agreed I could move three, attack, then move three more again. But that seemed like it was a little to much for one card (I didnt actually do much damage so he doesnt care). Did I play this card right or not?

You played it right. It's a great card and it is very powerful when used in the correct situation!
Behind Enemy Lines has caused a lot of confusion over the years so there's a large section of the Official FAQ dedicated to questions and answers for this card. You can download the FAQ and it might help you understand Behind Enemy Lines better and it might answer other questions that come up for you and your brother.
Have fun!

Is now a bad time to say again how much I hate the BEL card? Yes? Thought so.

I like that card, but on occasions I have felt hatred for it too, but most of those times have been when it has been cleverly used against me.
Breakthrough to Gembloux and a infantry unit just running through my line and onwards to Gembloux comes to mind. Although that might be my mistake for not putting a unit on the exit hex.
