Can any Beta-testers offer commentary on how the pre-start 'air-drop' on this scenario plays out on the online version? Intrigued to know how it works out.
Cheers guys,
Jim

Hi!
You're just beginning the game with some infantry randomly positionned on the map.
In fact, if you don't know how this game is going on, you couldn't imagine their had been an air-drop at the beginning!
It gives some uncertainty to the game. In a very simple mode!
See you soon Online...

At this time we don't have visual feedback yet. It will be added later on, though.

Thanks guys ... keep up the good work !! )
A few other questions while I think of then (sorry) ... When the game FINALLY gets the green light (Please don't make us wait much longer ...
1)Will it be something we pay for, ordered from the store?
1a)And does this then come as a cd rom to load onto our pc's?
Or:
2) Will we have to download it from the site ..
Or
3) Can we just play it from the website without any software?
Also,
4) I have a pc running Windows Vista ... will that be compatible?
Any ideas ?
Cheers

If you've read the sticky posts at the top of this Forum you'll see that nobody can talk about the price of Memoir '44 Online. Sorry!

The game will be downloaded and installed on your computer from the web site or from a link that will be provided. You will only be able to play when you have an internet connection (even if you choose to play solo mode) and your battles will be linked to your account, so if your wife or kids want to play they would have to use your account or get their own copy of the game.

I'm sure that DoW is working to make this game compatible with all formats and systems. I'm playing it on a Mac but I know of people using their PC's to play. This will be an equal opportunity game, so I imagine you'll be fine!

Awesome, thanks for your quick response ..
I'm a relative newbie to Memoir 44, but picked up a great starter set on ebay that consisted of the base game, the Terrain pack, Eastern Front pack, Pacific Theatre pack and the winter/desert boards. Having just worked my way through the first 6 scenario's in the base game (solo) I'm loving the learning curve, but looking so forward to playing somebody else LIVE ! )
Have just splashed out on the Campaign Book and the the Breathrough set too !
Really enjoying the whole game experience, coupled with my WWII interest ... If DOW need a beta tester from a complete novice background to give a 'newbie' view ... let me know if I can be of help

I hope, then, that there will be provision for sub-accounts, (A) knowing what a large percentage of Memoir players are parents, and (B) so that your wife's or 7-year-old's performance in games doesn't affect your rating.

No, there won't be support for sub-accounts per se. This issue will be handled, though - just differently.
