Many of you know me; some of you may not. 
As you can see, I've spent a lot of time on the forums here (some might say too much time) and I have spent considerable time working to support Memoir '44 in any way I can. I'm pleased to see that some of my projects have been useful to other players of this great game! I hope to add other helpful resources and I'm eager to see the support that other players provide for the Memoir '44 system.
I'm an elementary teacher who lived in Oregon, USA...I say "lived" because my wife and I recently relocated to the Middle East. This is my first post since our move and I now hail you from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. We are teaching in an international school here for the next two years!
We don't have internet at our appartment yet but we've started the process. I hope to continue being an active member of this wonderful community and I plan to continue my support of Memoir '44 from our new home. I'm excited to be in closer proximity to our European friends...I may be swinging by your area when we have some vacation time!

Just kidding ofcourse  Make the best out of it, it can be very sunny in the Middle East  And good luck with the kids, Sometimes can be a pain but normally are a wonderful experience.

Yeah it's closer.... about 10 hours flight time closer.
But the shopping is better in Dubai...

Hi Jesse,
If you have some vacation in France one time during your two years in Abu Dhabi (week-end in Normandy on the 08-09th of May 2011 for example), make a post on the French Forum (even in english language). So you will have a chance to meet some French players, ready to play with you.
I hope to see you one day and to play with you on our preferred game.

Hi Jesse, I hope everything goes well for you in Abdu Dhabi for the next two years. I just wanted you to know that I, for one, appreciate everything you have done for this game. I have printed out your help sheets, box contents sheets, and other player aids since I first came a part of this forum. You have inspired me to come up with some of my own player-aids including my own air rules. I just wanted to say thank you. I also use your M44 awards at conventions where I play overlord battles. I look forward to more of the same as you continue in your new home. Thank you again, and good luck.

Hey Jesse... now that your 8 to 10 hours into the future, how about looking up our powerball and lotto numbers and giving us a heads up???
Stay cool... they have both heat and humidity coming off the sea... ugh.

Thank you, everyone, for the kind words. We are getting used to the heat, mainly by staing inside!  So far it's been wonderful and my only complaint is that I don't have internet at home...but that should be fixed soon.
jdrommel, thank you for the invite. I would love to meet you and the other French players of this great game so we'll see what we can work out. I'll be in contact!
50th, I'm glad that I've been able to help make this game more fun and I look forward to providing other help sheets and support while I'm here. The good times never end, no matter where we are in the world!
