Card Tuckboxes Tue, 05 October 2010 20:27
Just wondering if any creative types out there have considered making card tuckboxes for the 3 NEWEST card decks:

COMBAT CARDS (20)
WINTER COMBAT CARDS (20)
BREAKTHROUGH CARD DECK (80)

It woud be a great item to have. I thank those folks who created the Tuckboxes for the original 60 command cards.

Now Jesse has enough to do!
But I am sure there are others with a creative flare.

Take a break on this one Jesse!!!

Cool If someone else wants to make these boxes they are welcome to step forward. Otherwise I would be willing to work on them while I'm watching a movie or something! Very Happy

There is one problem...now that I'm in Abu Dhabi it is much harder to get the new expansions that come out. My parents are coming to visit us for Christmas so they will bring my set, but that won't be until mid to late December! For this reason I won't know how thick to make the boxes and will need someone else to measure the decks for me. Rolling Eyes If someone is willing to do that it won't take long to create a box to fit these new decks we have coming out.

I hope this all makes sense. Send me a PM if you want to measure the cards and need more information on what measurements I need! Razz

It really is a simple math issue.

The standard card tuckbox already created holds (60) Command cards.
If you have this box or the original template found online you can go from there.

We are talking about increments of (20) cards. So a card box holding 20 cards would be 1/3 the height of a box holding 60 cards. All the other dimensions would be the same.

Actually, this would make a rather thin box.
Shocked

A better idea might be to make a similar box to the original tuckbox that will hold (60) cards and anticipate that eventually you will have 3 sets of Combat Cards (as DOW is just as likely to continue this theme). And for the time being simply cover the box on one side with Urban Combat scenery and on the opposing side Winter Combat scenery. Label it COMBAT CARDS. The current 2 sets of cards could be placed in the deck facing each other, making them easy to separate for gameplay.

As far as the Breakthrough deck, here is the math:
Take the standard tuckbox (60 cards). Divide the width by 3 (20 cards). Multiply this number by 4 (80 cards) to figure for the new box.

Wow, I've done all the work you should have it finished in no time.
