worst game of DoW

I just played 10 games and lost...10. Playing the tutorial does not even give a basic feeling for the game and reading the rule book also did not help. The AI just overran me every time, the dices AI is getting are always best and the human rarely to never gets more than a 1 on a dice. It's just a horrible game. Does anyone know if there is a cashback?

Since when can a customer get their money back because they aren't good at something?! If I buy a basketball but then lose at every game I play, I can't take the ball back and get my money just because I can't play the game!!
If you're losing against the bot, try playing against another human for a few games. Then you can figure out the game together before taking on the bot, who clearly knows all the rules.

The AI is aggressive indeed which doesn't mean it's that strong necessarily, but it's behavior is very in your face indeed.
A couple of tidbits that might help you however (assuming you haven't sworn off the game yet).
- The dice has 3 blank sides, one with 1 pip, one with 2 pips and one with 3. So if you see a lot of blanks, it's not surprising. Also the dice only gets rolled for the last conquest of your turn, IF you don't have enough tokens for that conquest. The AI takes advantage of this, and thus might be rolling more dice than you are, depending on your play style.
- We really recommend playing the tutorial with 2 players (ie a friend, rather than against the AI). One of the unfortunate side effect of us adding a Bot to play against was that if you play the tutorial against that bot rather than against a friend, then you will only get to read and see half of the tutorial (the other half doesn't appear when the bot plays, but does if you play against a friend, and does provide more insight into the game).
- Reading the board game rule book available at www.daysofwonder.com should help you understand the game better, as it contains a complete description not only of the game turn but also of every single race and special power of the base game.
I hope some of the above advice may help you enjoy the game.
best,
eric

Hi Eric,
thanks for that. I will give it a try. Maybe I will join some games on the Essen 2010 fairy.

Yes, if you can go to the Essen Spiel fair there will be some demo tables with iPad on them, and a chance to play a full game with some live opponents there.
All the best,
eric
