Re:Powder Keg + regular damage = 2 crippeled strengths? Wed, 19 January 2005 16:27

Example :

My situasion : ZERO dubloons.

One player has the Long John Silver parrot and shoots at my boat (targets crew), but before she targets - we are two persons playing the powder keg card. so the 6 dices hits counts double powder keg damage.

My hull is crippled and my crew is crippled.

I have no money, so I am trapped at pirates cove for 2 rounds of an 12 round game?

Seems a bit harsh.

Can anyone help me out here?

Windwalker,

Actually no you are not stuck skipping a turn. This is not clear in the rules, but if a Powder Keg causes your ship is crippled in two or more sections, all cripped sections are upgraded to the starting position automatically when you visit Pirate's Cove.

Have fun...

Hmmm, sounds ok - but then again - the tutorial video says that you have to pay 2 gold to repear your crippled sections in pirates cove?!

You still have the pay the two if you have it, or the two you get from the pirate's cove "booty". If you do not have enough money to repair all the crippled sections of your ship, you can repair the other sections for free but you do NOT get the tavern card. It is in the rules in the island section under Pirate's cove.
