Enrollment in Operation Open Beta Thu, 18 November 2010 14:01
To All Volunteer Cadets:

We are currently accepting volunteers for "Operation Open Beta".

This risky operation will allow you to test your skills using a new weapon prototype nicknamed "M44 Online".

Depending on your success in this dangerous mission, you might be recommended for officer promotions and/or special citations.

Enrollment Instructions:

- Make sure you have a Days of Wonder Online account with a VALID e-mail address (ie one that can receive the confirmation messages we will send you).

- Go to http://www.memoir44-online.com/download and follow the instructions to download and install the new weapon prototype.

- Upon successful completion of your enrollment, you will receive your military identity card by e-mail, with a list of important links. Keep this message in a safe place.

- If you haven't already done so, make sure to read your "For your Eyes Only" mission briefing at:
http://cdn0.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/img/M44-Quic kManual-0.3.pdf before venturing behind enemy lines.

A careful, detailed read of this document will help save lives: the success of our operation - and your survival - will hinge on your knowledge of the terrain and anticipation of the enemy moves!

Further Instructions:

- Read the FAQ that can be found on this same channel.

- Keep your radio open on this frequency and check on a regular basis, to make sure you receive new instructions from HQ the moment they are dispatched.

- Report any suspicious enemy troops movement.

You guys might try right clicking on the icon for the game and choosing "Run as Administrator" to see if that helps. In some instances, installing the game using the same option may be required on Win7, ie. right clicking on the installer file and choosing "Run as Adminstrator".

I would try both of these options to see if helps.

I won't be able to give it a try until tonight after work, but I will also be running on Win7, so it will be interesting to see what it takes to get things working correctly.

Work, but did noticed that if you select the Enrollment button in M44, it takes you to a page that is not defined (error 404). Suspect that will be fixed.

This is bad. Which button is it exactly (there are several ones)?

Can show you (also might be nice to know where the bug report form is) :

1) Click on M44 Online icon
2) after various screen and come to the login screen, click on the enrollment button in the lower left.

Takes me the following URL :
http://www.daysofwonder.com/en/memoire44-online/download

Told you I was good..and that was the first one I found in under 1 minute!! Smile

Did find another bug with a certain card...thus the query about the bug form.

I used the options above on my Win7 machine and the game works like a champ. Don't know if it's required, but it didn't hurt, either.

Fantastic game, great computer implementation. You guys have done magnificent work here! Thanks DoW!!

Ok, played it also a first time, after i need one day to get the game to play .... Confused

It seems, that the game have problems with some graphic drivers.
I deinstalled my complete graphic drivers and installed an older one.
Now the game works.

PC with Vista and NVIDIA graphic drivers.
Perhaps, some other which similar problems, helps this also.

Yes the NVidia 260.99 is known to have a buggy OpenGL driver. Do not use it, downgrade to the previous one.

Just to let you guys know, I've submitted a bug report form ... Upon a succussfull install, when I open/run the game I just end up with a full white screen with my cursor arrow.

Any ideas.. or should I wait for the response from the bug report form?

Cheers

That's odd, it works great for me.

I believe your are using the "Download for Mac" button from http://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/download/

correct?

What is your web browser?
