Any time limit to make a move? Tue, 23 November 2010 14:54
My opponent has been sitting there doing nothing for 10 minutes. Does a bot come in? Am I supposed to leave or what? Does this still count as an ingot against me?

I don't know about the bot, but I don't think so (unless he gets disconnected). You can leave, but I believe it will count against your 'honor'. It will still cost you an Ingot.

Sounds like maybe a player you don't want to play against again. Rolling Eyes

Thanks for the quick response.

That's a ridiculous feature that needs to be addressed. Ticket to Ride has a bot come in after a few minutes of doing nothing, and with this being a paid game it shouldn't count against the person being forced to wait forever, at least a bot should come in and finish it up.

Hey DOW you should know this already from all the bot morons over at TtR.

I think a timer it's necessary for inactivity (5 minutes i think). At the end of the time you win if opponent didn't move.

I had this exact thing happen yesterday when my opponent decided to abandon the front rather than take it like a man.
Laughing
The program said that a bot would take his/her place. This did not happen in a timely fashion. Eventually I had to drop out of the game myself to clear the computer.

I think that losing the money and ingots is tolerable for me. It is only money after all. However, to lose honor because of someone elses hurt ego is intolerable.

I disagree, both are intolerable!

We know. That's why this is still an Open Beta for now and not the definitive game. Thank you for your feedback.

Thank you Antoine for the quick answer.

I will stop crying now and go back to having fun with those I know will take a beating like a man. Laughing

Thanks also for being such brave souls to allow so many to see your painting before it is finished and allow so many critiques.

There is a time-out, but it is very high for the moment: 15 minutes. It is so for debugging purposes: when we debug, we might need a long time, and so we'd better not be disconnected...

Of course, this will be reduced to a good value - just the way it is in Ticket to Ride Online - in the near future.
