Why does this have to be installed as an administrator?

While I have no problems with my Macs at home, because I have no admin access on my Mac at work, I am unable to install (and play over lunch..  ). Is it possible to make is app installable to my own directory instead of the main Applications folder?

It's easy to do with the linux installer. You just choose to install it somewhere inside your home directory.
