Is it enough to move onto them or do you need movement to move off the board.
I have played it like that but my opponent says getting on the hex is enough

Onto the hex is still on the board. Still need movement to move OFF the board.

Currently the only way I know how to get the Exit Hex medals is for the player to manually remove the unit and add a medal to the medal stand.
However, Randwulf is correct that to get the medal for the "Exit hex" you have to actually exit the board...so you can't just move onto the spot! That would be like telling someone to exit the room but they just stop at the door and claim that they're gone!

Agreed but here is the problem with Expert, not everyone understands the rules the same.
I certainly prefer the program limitations, in fact I learned a thing or two I had been playing wrong when I played Memoir Online. Like no armour overrun after entering barbed wire the same turn and several other "wrongs"

The beauty is that all of the great battles in Expert Mode will eventually be programed into Normal Mode and Solo Mode! You'll be able to play them all just the way you like to; the rules will be enforced and you won't have to look anything up!
But by then some new scenarios will be available here on Expert Mode that aren't yet programed...and the cycle starts all over again!

When playing in expert mode I open the relevant (PDF file) rulebook and troop cards before I start playing a scenario.
I can then easily swap from M44-online to check the details to ensure I'm not accidentally cheating.
(I also do this when playing the real game, rule book, terrain and troop cards at the ready.)

Did you realize that you have access to all of the relavant Summary Cards during Expert Mode battles, just like you do in Normal and Solo Mode? You just have to right-click on a hex and the cards pop up for an easy reference.
The thing that's missing, and the reason that I also have the rule books available during Expert Mode battles, is any way to check the special rules like "Desert Rules" or "Blitz Rules". I haven't seen any reference for those in the game...

I also pull up the rule book and FAQ PDFs on my computer and if there is a question, I just copy and paste the answer into the CHAT LINE. This helps my opponent to learn the rules and makes for more conversation.
