Two for overlord ?	Mon, 07 February 2011 22:27

Hi everyone i was wondering if the overlord senarios work with just 2 people as i know it was designed really for the multiplayer role. Me and my brother love the base game and have gone totally mad and bought every expansion,battlemap,breakthrough boards you name it ha ha! Oh yeah.... you just have to remember not to use to many cards at the start. But near the end drive hard, if you or your opponent are only a few medals away from winning, it makes no sense to horde your cards. You are playing the role of 3 Generals and an overall Commander. Use that to co-ordinate your attacks. Team play is fun, single play is also a lot of fun. [Report message to a moderator]

I have a lot of fun playing OL solo, never mind with two players. remember to play to a strategy e.g. attack v defence, and don't forget the objectives / scenario-specific rules, you'll have a great time playing OL with two players. [Report message to a moderator]

I like to play the Market Garden scenario one vs one. The reason being that the center Allied general in a 2x2 or greater game might be tempted to go his own way rather than coordinate with the left and right sections. I won't say anymore for fear of spoiling the fun, so to speak.

But I enjoyed the Sword of Stalingrad overlord scenarios also. Those were great.

I didn't think much of the most recent battlemap release (Dieppe and the other one - Tobruk was it?) as I felt these were not as well designed or balanced (kind of blah really IMO).
