Oh no! Now we have a dilemma .. Gents I feel its a bit harsh to penalise Morgiliath .. he was one of the first to respond, but then has been away for 3 days on a trip, and narrowly missed the deadline by a couple of hours !

David would you be so gracious as to step back from the plate? Wink

Technically no results have come in .... so Morgiliaths confirmation would seem to be the fairest thing ..

it was a great battle that went right down to the wire. jaykay2010 would likely have won on the next turn with the TFH he was left holding. early on it looked like axis had the upper hand with some aggressive armor movement; allies weakened the tanks but couldn't seem to ever get the final kill die to come. finally, the dice turned cold for axis, and a sequence of strong cards helped the allied armor break through to the rear, finish off every last german tank, and carry the day.

FIXTURE 3 - Montelimar Jaykay2010 V Phread 5-6 a narrow victory to the Allies. The battle started evenly with both side eliminating a unit in the first turn. Things then went better for the Axis as the continued to finish their kills while the Allies could only wound units. It was soon 4 - 3 to the Axis. The turning point of the game was when the Axis rolled 2 armour & an infantry from a "Their Finest Hour" card. With only an armour in the city on his right an one on his left the selected single figure infantry in the centre killed another infantry unit 5-3. The armour on the right advanced to the town boundary. The left armour advanced to the board edge and got three hits but not the kill needed for victory. An assault on the right for the Allies killed this brave bold panzer unit (8 rolls for 3 hits). Had the tide turned? The Axis rearranged his unit in his next turn. An Allied airpower accounted for another weakened Axis infantry, now 5-5. The Axis had nothing to attack in his final turn. The Allies played an Assault in the Centre to send an armoured unit after a single figure infantry, successful roll and the Allies won 6-5. A tough even battle which either side could have won.
