The winner should post the result, checking with their opponent that they have the correct score for BOTH players. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!! JUST BECAUSE YOU THRASHED YOUR OPPONENT DOESNT MEAN YOU CAN FORGET ABOUT THE ODD MEDAL HE MAY HAVE PICKED UP!

First results from the front coming in on the wire...
In Fixture 6, Tunisia:
Mochihead (Allies) 6 d. JayKay2010 (Axis) 4
it was a great battle that went right down to the wire. jaykay2010 would likely have won on the next turn with the TFH he was left holding. early on it looked like axis had the upper hand with some aggressive armor movement; allies weakened the tanks but couldn't seem to ever get the final kill die to come. finally, the dice turned cold for axis, and a sequence of strong cards helped the allied armor break through to the rear, finish off every last german tank, and carry the day.

Great report Garrett ... I'm still recovering from my mid-game TFH ... 6 dice rolled and one lousy infantry! lol Not a good point in the battle .. well played mate, and what an excellent scenario ... amazingly neither of us had played it before!

Completely concentrated in the center of the map it was only a question of who ran out of center cards and/or units first.
Very quick and intense game!

FIXTURE 6
Tunisia
Rasmussen (Axis) 6 - Nygaard (Allies) 3
I had a good hand of cards and thought I might be able to pull off a big win and keep Magnus at only 1 medal, but as usual he was able to play the battle well, with the cards he had, and he pulled off a few extra medals before the end!

Very close battle. Axis inf. wiped out on left flank. Allied inf wiped out in center. Turnig point is Axis had a 2-2-2 card and got only one hit with all attacking units. Allies destroy Axis left flank tank to secure victory.

Twin Villages
Looneyllama (Allies) 6 Gheintze (Axis) 5
Axis starts very strong and destroys inf. and tank unit. Allies counterattack and destroy two tank units. However, they are down to one tank figure in two units. They pull back and use artillery, behind enemy lines, and an heroic left flank inf. to come all the way back to 5-5. Finally, a barrage on a two figure inf. unit secures the Allied victory. Axis on next turn was ready with an inf. assault that would surely have been decisive.
By the way, we played a rematch and Geoff kicked my butt 6 to 2. I never got out of the woods.

FIXTURE 2 - Toulon
gheintze v Phread 1-6
A 6-1 victory to the Allies (Phread).
The score doesn't reflect the evenness of the battle.
The Allies started slowly with few hits and too many flags.
The Axis got the first kill in the centre after withstanding an Allied infantry attack. Then the Axis luck changed and they started retreating not killing units.
Pressure in the centre lead to the first kills for the Allies as the two infantry dug in on the hills were slowly worn down and killed.
The Axis luck changed for the better when they eliminated the Axis artillery on the left with armour attacks.
Brave attacks by the Axis infantry in the centre came to naught as they couldn't score the hits they needed against weakened Allied infantry. The Allies fought back.
Eventually the weight of Allied armour against the sandbagged Axis infantry won the battle.
Both sides rolled on 23% hits on infantry with the Allies rolling 27% stars and the Axis 28% flags. Not a hard hitting battle but hard fought nonetheless.
