Grand Russian Campaign Tue, 29 March 2011 11:49
I ordered the Campaign Book when it first came out.

Well, I finally got around to playing a Grand Campaign (having only played a Branch Campaign before).

Jjaz is playing the Russians (we will switch sides and do this again) to my Germans in the Barbarossa Grand Campaign.

We have finished Phase One with my Germans having won five out of six of the battles so far.

I will issue a more complete campaign report later.

Well we have finished the North Branch Campaign with me getting a Major Victory (+6 VPs) worth 2 Campaign Points.

Before we started Phase 2 I was fortunate to roll "Japanese Attack!" with my "What If event" roll so Johan lost 4 Reserve Tokens.

Johan meanwhile rolled "Partisans".

Those rolls surely favored me as their was a pretty good chance that two bad options would be rolled against me.

The North battles:

After being defeated by Johan at Raseiniai (6 to 7) I bounced back with wins at Ingermanland (5-2) -- Luga Bridges (5-3) and Tikhvin (7-4).

Well TC lets out that he showed no mercy.
He played very well so far, but i try even harder in the scenario's to come.
Great stuff those Large campaigns, and the what if event, and commisar chip make it even harder.
Monday evening we play at 20:00H Brussels time
