Crash on Ambush

However kinky the title, I wonder if any of you experienced the same problem - twice already I had my winning medal won through Ambush (played manually), and twice the game crashed immediately afterwards. No points for me, alas.
And Jesse yes, I did submit the bug report. Ok, only once :/ I admit.

Good man!!
Wait...only once! Just kidding, once may be fine, though if it keeps happening it would be worth sending in another one so the team knows that it wasn't an isolated incident. Also, the more reports they get on the same problem, the easier it will be for them to recreate it on their own computers.

Normally, b22 should make things better in this Ambush card business. We could not reproduce and understand the problem, but we protected the code in this area. So hopefully, either the problem will go away or if it happens again, then we will have a more meaningful behavior. The display issue/crash is simply a side effect of the real (unknown) cause of the problem.
So if you experience a problem again, we'd like to hear about it!
Thanks in advance,
Yann

Thank you Yann for your honest comments.
The difficulty in understanding the cause of this bug is a reason why we all shoulld report all bugs when they happen. The more information the development team has the better they can attempt to understand, replicate, and fix a bug.

Yann, now you got me thinking. I'm no programmer, but I analysed the possibilities and it's perhaps not the problem with Ambush itself, but with winning the game during your opponents turn. Perhaps that is what crashes the game.
We could test it in the Ponyri scenario, when it is also possible to win during your opponent's turn, if both parties have 5 medals and 2 units in the city, and then one party withdraws one unit from the city during its turn. Then the opponent wins, and if I'm right, the game should crash...
What say you?

Yes, that sounds plausible if other crashes were also in scenarios that also allow a win during your opponent's turn.

Tinsoldier,
Ok, I understand now.
See you in other battles.

Sure.
Was close to win as Allies later in the evening, lost 5-6 with a 3-strong infantry unit eliminated by artillery just two hexes away from a town medal with the right card in hand to activate it next turn.
Yours,
Tinsoldier

I had a crash yesterday while playing Ambush in the Ponyri scenario, I didn't have the possibility of winning during my opponents turn, so that makes me think that this is not the problem.

Welcome to the forum and to the Online version of this great game! Please make sure to send in a Bug Report for the Ambush bug that you discovered.
You can follow the link down below in my signature area to send the report in...just follow the directions. Also, you might think about picking a unique User Name so make yourself more memorable!
Have fun!

I can confirm that I had the ambush crash (played manually) when I would not have won the game. Luckily I was able to reload the game then rejoin when prompted (this feature seems to work well). Apologies but I didn't manage to submit a proper bug report

Is there anything I can do to help you submit a bug report in the future? Are you unsure how to get the file or something?
Let me know if you need help!!
