Firefight and Ski troops

At Suomussalmi this evening, my Axis opponent played Firefight, and one of his ski troops was permitted to roll 1d at my tank 3 hexes away. Ski troops battle 3-2-0, so this should have been illegal.
I filed a bug report.
Call this the Biathlon bug.

It worked out fine. His bullets bounced right off the tank, as a sniper's should.

He probably just threw his skipole at your tank.

When firefighting units roll an extra die. So I don't see a bug described above - when I went to school (in a different century) 0+1=1

Right, but the issue is that Ski Troops don't have that extra hex of range...with other units, they aren't allowed to shoot further simply because they have a certain card.

No worries. I've seen this bug happening in some of my battles as well, but I think I forgot to send in the Bug Report!  Oops.
I guess I'll just have to keep playing with the Ski Troops until it happens again and send in the report...it's a rough life having to play all of this Memoir '44 Online.

Even the king loses his crown sometimes!
I'll try to uphold the title in the future! And I will continue to submit Bug Reports any time I see something that could be improved!!

It's true!! The only place I've seen snow in over a year has been in Ski Dubai when my wife and I went snowboarding! But it's not quite the same when you walk out of the freezing building into one of the largest dune deserts in the world!! 
I'll make sure that my excitement about playing in the snow (in Memoir '44 Online) doesn't cloud my Bug Report 'radar' in the future...
