If you can help us break our servers...

... we will reward you with a new Achievement and some free Gold Ingots for Memoir '44 Online!
Dear fellow player:
If you receive this special e-mail, it is because at some point during the past 100 days, you downloaded at least one beta version of Memoir '44 Online.
As we inch closer to a release of the final product, we need your help! We want to verify how our servers behave under a heavy load of players. The only way for us to know for sure is to have as many players as possible trying to play a game of Memoir '44 Online simultaneously.
To that effect, we have planned 2 days of special load tests during the coming week. We need you (and any friends you were considering bringing into the game) to try and log on to play as many games as you can during the designated time slots listed below:
The SOLO games load test will be held on Wednesday April 6th, 2011.
The two-player games load test will be held on Saturday April 9th, 2011.
We would like you to try and participate in both, if at all possible. Remember the goal is to try and break our servers under the load; the more people play in these designated time slots, the more effective these tests will be!
Besides, it will be fun, there are some new Eastern Front scenarios to play on, and if you can make it to both sessions, we will reward you with a special "Chaaarge" Achievement and some free Gold Ingots to boot!
To accommodate European players and North American players, we have scheduled two 1-hour sessions on each of these load test days.
Solo Day: Wednesday April 6th, 2011:
- first session: 19:00 France-Germany / 18:00 UK / 1 PM East Coast / 10 AM West Coast time
- second session: 5 PM East Coast / 2 PM West Coast / 22:00 UK / 23:00 France-Germany time
Multiplayer Day: Saturday April 9th, 2011:
- first session: 19:00 France-Germany / 18:00 UK / 1 PM East Coast / 10 AM West Coast time
- second session: 5 PM East Coast / 2 PM West Coast / 22:00 UK / 23:00 France-Germany time
Players who play at least one Solo game during the Wednesday session(s) and one Multiplayer game during the Saturday session(s) will be awarded the special "Chaaaarge!" Achievement, with a bonus of 50 free Gold Ingots!
Can you break us? Let's find out on the battlefield this coming Wednesday and Saturday!

Just for clarity, what constitutes a 'played game'? Should for example the server get broken and no one finishes a game...? Extreme I know but could happen.
Oh and please don't release a new version for it, as it'll take me all week to download again

| Well in that case it means that the test was successful, and so all started games at that time will qualify, of course. Otherwise, if the server holds, then all games will have to be finished.

Don't worry, the current version will do

I have not (yet) received the email mentioned above - but I have downloaded and played every beta publically released.
Will I get the rewards & GI even if I haven't rec'd the email?

We are posting this announcement here as well as on BGG. As long as you play at least one SOLO game during the first slot and a PvP game during the second slot, you will receive the achievement, regardless of whether you received an actual e-mail from us or not.

In my opinion, the times for the first solo played games are really bad for the East Coast of the U.S. The only opportunity to play is between 1 and 2 P.M. and 5 and 6 P.M. It's even worse for the rest of the country. All of us working stiffs don't get home until 6 or later. I think it would have been better to start at 8 or 9 East coast time to get more players. You would also get more of the west coasters with a 9 P.M. start (6 P.M. their time). It seems like you're catering to the Europeans with that 5 P.M. East Coast start (10-11 P.M. their time). Do you really care about us in the U.S.? It sure doesn't look that way.

Any chance of rescheduling the solo test to a weekend?
Most of us in the States will be working during those hours.

Would love to help out and play, but as Sam mentioned. Wednesday during the day? Not going to get much of a load from the US since most people would still be at work.

yeah... um... I am gonna be at a Jousting tournament that morning. I have to cut it short to make the Board meeting... grumble grumble...
and before you ask...
yes, big horses, guys in full armor, each trying to knock each other off their big horse...
real live non scripted full impact Jousting. We have folks from all over the world coming to compete.

Mmmm, Wednesday, not a good day.
I'll be at work from 9 to 18:30 (Buenos Aires), (8 to 17:30 East Coast).
Time has expired when I get home.
I'll try on Saturday.
Regards.

I would also second (or third!) the request to have times a bit later in the evening. I usually don't get a chance to play until 8-11pm (MST). I don't think my manager would be too happy with me downloading it onto my work computer and playing in the middle of the day...
Any change of having another session on those days, say around 10pm EST ?

Iceland doesn't follow summer time I read, which would mean you are on GMT, meaning Uk time minus 1
18:00 UK becomes 17:00 in Iceland
22:00 UK becomes 21:00
correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I found on the internet

Where are the team base? It will be their local time so extrapolate from that?

I think UK time is summertime (GMT +1), because France, Germany and UK we're all following summertime (and the weather's easy )
Perhaps we'll wait for DoW to react and make uncertainties clear??

I would love to help you out on Wednesday, but I will be at my day job during those hours. It would've been nice to have a time slot that was a little more friendly to those of us in the Western Hemisphere.

Looks like they are already broken
Played for a while but it was slow, then froze. Tried to report the bug but the server would not respond trying to send my report and log.
Took ages to bring up this page too.

In UTC time, the two one-hour sessions are at:
- 17:00 UTC
- 21:00 UTC
Hope this clarifies things.
