I will most probably play niamey tonight, 9PM CET
(niamey had computer issues, so not 100% sure he will make it, but everything is fair and communication is clear, thx niamey, GFF and TD for that)

Match TU Ironhorse1 V TAM Knockando Fri, 18 March 2011 22:33
Ironhorse1 at home.

Game 1. 123-121
Game 2. 97-127
Game 3. 123- 89
Game 4. 105-111
Game 5. 121-113

A very tight match which went to whoever started the game. Even total points wre 569-561. Shocked

The last match was worth recounting as it was down to Knockando's draw option. He had to draw.

I had Seattle-LA,Denv-El paso and Port-Phoenix.
I had covered the blues, blacks and yellows and took the 5 greens 3 purples twice 3 to Phoen then 5 white going down to Oklahoma 4 reds and then pair with single in hand going out. 3 single options available to me.
Knock had travelled from Miami up to NY around and across to Seattle and had Seat NY and Mont New orleans. He needed to draw and had 2 card option Salt Marie to Nash and Montreal to Atlanta.
Unlucky and took Houston -Kansas.

Result Iron 3 Knockando 2. Razz

Thanks Sylvain for me a very satisfying win against a top player.
Razz
Look forward to the away fixture.
Thanks Iron Phil

TU -near- vs F4_Angel6
0:3

*85:133 (good start for near with 6 blue vs my Sea-NY + Port-Nash, but I was still able to complete my ticks and get longest Smile )
86:111* (only 3 points in tickets, but perfect 9 move route for SSM-Okl was too fast for near's central/eastern ticks)
*83:88 (I tried to block the non-existent LA-Mia, thereby really blocking Tor-Mia; without longest and without LA-Hel, I got many points on the board to win (closely/luckily) against LA-NY)

Thx for the games, near Smile

F4_suburu vs TAM Knockando
3:1

*119:085 (Me with Se-NY and CAL-SLC, 6 locos, starting and being able to take 6 yellow and 6 grey before any Knock's move and him with 2 eastern tickets was easy to win).

105:086* (I had Van-SF and Montr-Atl which I decided not to go for it and was lucky Knock tried to block a possible Van-Mon and he also missed a ticket (Du-EP fullfilled and SSM-Nash).

*109:124 (Great play for Knock who had Se-La and Cal-SLC vs my Wi-LR & Mon-NO. He made the 6 whites, yellows, blues, blacks and greens meanwhile i was trying to join my tickets though the center. Sad )

072:056* (I kept 3 center tickets and there was a lot, a lot, a lot of blocking from his side forbiding me to make any of the three until the final moves where i saw that if he kept on blocking me he would run out of cards before me and I would be able to join. I was lucky to finaly made one out of the three while he made none.)

Thanks for the games, Sylvain! Smile

1:3

34:122* (starting is great with SF-Atl vs LA-Mia Razz )
*119:117 (good win vs Sea-LA + Port-Pho + 7 locos Twisted Evil )
101:117* (I really hate Van-SF, but with Dul-ElP is quite nice)
*88:113 (no ticks and no blocks don't win often Wink )

Thx for the games, niamey

TU Ironhorse1 v F$ Suburu
Iron at home
Game 1 124-111
Game 2 104-99
Game 3 107-92
Result 3-0 TU Ironhorse1
Ist game went perfect for me up the middle with 2 favourite tics Cal-PhDel-Houston and longest. V Port Nash & LA Miami
My early 6 green caused a problem.
2nd game I had Van Mont & Van S Fee V Hel LA & Win L Rock
Did the top and 2 single down with 6 blue new i was not going to connect so played out 4 blue hoping to give lie i had Cal Salt Lake.
I think it worked and Sara drew and was unlucky.
game 3 Cal Pho & Wini L Rock V Hel LA & NY Dall Made tics but another bluff game and thought Sara had it but she concentrated in west only.
Thx Sara my day today but your team unfortunately won the important match Well done F$. Sad

Re:RED- CL Schedules and Results Tue, 05 April 2011 22:59
F4-toutoune vs TAM-GenuineFauxFarm
3:2

125*:108
The farm fails to parlay two smallish east tix into a game that could be won with blocks. In part because tt does a nice job making it difficult to decide exactly *what* to block. A clear win for F4. The farm feels it should receive a small commendation for completing his tix at least. Rolling Eyes

98:47*

At this point, the farm is looking pitiful and F4 is looking like it will waltz to a win. tt loses a ticket in game 2, but that doesn't match the two tickets the farm manages to misplay into two disconnects. That and a nice quick out by tt = a lopsided win!

100*:105
The farm is not dead. tt takes Chicago away, but the farm doesn't need it. Still tt parlays the situation into a close game with one dropped ticket by the farm.

106:117*
TAM & F4 making it interesting. Some good colors and start allow the farm to get some key tracks first, leading to a win.

110*:107

And, to quote myself after the last game.
"nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"
This is what happens when I pat myself on the back for thinking I've won before the final fiend is found. (say that four times fast) Once again, tt shows the quality player he is by keeping himself in the game with poor tickets and having some options for drawing.

Grats F4.

Now pass some of that fiending ability to me for the next match please? Smile
