Knock vs Sysy : 1-5
USA : 98-124 Port Nash den pitt for me, one of my favourite combo, laying big trax with the start !
BC : 121-99 Had La Mia, Sea LV... As he also had LV, and started with 3 orange, I tried a block on NY and mia but failed.
Mega : 131-135 Went for fiending in the east and worked.
1910 : 95-136 Knock forgot to connect his Cal NAsh by using his red in mia. Made it easier.
Suisse : 83-112 Learned from my lessons from SMC playing in the east and getting longest.
Europe : 110-114 Kob Erz, Buda So vs Lisboa Danzig, Ber Buc and Mad dieppe. Took most of eastern 4er and 8 tunnels, dropping Buda Sofia by chance in a way. I managed to have a tricky longest by disturbing him around Paris.
Was not best Knock's day, but I managed to take advantadge of it !! Didn't feel I had the most awesome stuff either but he surely helped me

Hopefuly you choose the bad block in mon in game 2 (or didn't have the 3 blue...) or it would have been 0-6
Monday I reached my best ranking, tuesday I play like a beginner, always making the bad choice...that's life...
Beware of me luc, qorlas and hecki : I can't loose anymore

Drake:Val
3.5-2.5
109:121 Big Cities - Didn't have great tickets and going first didn't make up for it.
107:108 USA - Had west coast tix but didn't get the route I wanted. Should have drawn instead of end game, thought I only had 2 tickets to get, but actually had 3 to win and 1 to tie.
Down 0-2, not a good start
113-65 1910 - Didn't have great tickets, but Val tried to do east coast and draw a bunch of tickets. I blocked out one on last turn, but still would have won.
132-132 Europe - Kept all 4 tickets which I thought was risky going 2nd. Finished route just in time. Thought I was going to win, but Val had a 2er left at end when I figured it would be 1er or nothing.
88-83 Swiss - Val got the quicker start and blocked out Geneva which was one of my tickets. We had a drawing fest and I was drawing dead alot more than I thought I would, given my route. Luckily Val missed some tickets too and tried for a 5er at end and missed. A 4er would have won it, but no way to know since I had more tickets and a decent route.
129-42 Mega - Again not great tickets (LA-MIA, Atl-ny and tor-char), but enough locos to block Val from connecting her LV-Mia, SF-Was.

2) BigC 97 - 84
3) 1910 83 - 139

End of UglyHecki vs SexySysy : 3-3 :
Game 4 : USA : 116-114* A nice Calpho Cal Slc vs Win LR chi No. Was hoping he had Port Pho for a tie but grr
Game 5 : 1910 : *96-121
SLC Chi, SLC KC, Van Den vs Port Pitt, Port Hous, Dul Dallas
His start with 6 orange 6 yellow made mine quite rough. Played 3 red chi dul to save my pink to connect in the middle and found the flexibility to join dul and hou/dallas.
Then, I blocked Oak, thinking of Sea Oak, and connected port pitt. He laid 6 green that hurt my plan of big tracks... As he stopped going down in KC, and did hard to connect chi, I thought of killing slc, which worked
Game 6 : Mega : 108-129*
La Atl, Hel La, SF was vs Port Pitt, Van Mon Nash Ny.
He had the south, I had the North. Starting to kill Pitt-Ny-Mon. Then 6 orange and yellow. He made Hel La fast, then I laid 6 green to slow him down.
Without colours to connect to nashville, I laid the 1 to atl hoping to go down via Raleigh with 2 greys. But he decided to kill my Nash (thinking of port nash i guess) with 2 grey Atl-Raleigh & 3 blacks. Backfired at him with a block of me in Raleigh Washington just in case and worked !
Thx Hecki for the fun hihi and yummy points

Luc vs Sysy : 0-6
BC : 85- 104*
La Atl Sea ny vs La cal Dul Hous for me. Luc jumped on 6 black, which made my work harder, but I blocked Atlanta off after having delayed him in the middle.
USA : *78-122
Cal Slc-Port Phoe vs Hel La Den Paso.
Not many locos on each side, but i had the abilty to make a great set of colours contrary to him, laying big tracks and ending fast with longest.
Euro : 109-113*
Pal Mos-Ber Buc- War smol vs PAris Wien Essen Kiev.
Took 6er in the middle fast, he got kiev war. He continued to kharkov. I laid 4 pink berlin warzawa thinking of kob erz then danzig berlin. Took 8er on top and blocked him around constantinople. Despite longest and his 3 tix, his 2 stations cost him too much. 2 locos for him really didn't help
Suisse : *55-79
La chaux de fonds zurich + country vs Country - Kreuzligen Zur
I blocked him with 2 red and killed zurich after the 6 grey in Geneva. He made it around to reach France. I had more track points in the end and made it despite his longest.
1910 : 50-137*
Cal Nash Tor Charleston and 1 more (Pitt No ?) vs Mon Ral Van Dul.
Picked tix first round and found Van Den ver. He started 4 yellow Nash Pitt. I laid Tor Pitt. Move made him go around via chi. Slowing him down helped to collect the colours I needed to kill Calgary and complete my tix separated.
Mega : *99-124
Phoe Bos-La Atl-LV something and 4th vs La Cal Dul Dallas and Den Paso.
He started to LV LA. Laid 3 to phoe and 6 black. He went up with 3 orange, I played SLC Denver which delayed him. His 3 pink 4 green up to Helena and down to Denver delayed me, especially that he used 5 white to Boston. We then made our ways 'til i start to block Atl and finally kill Boston.
Knowing the tix on the extra maps really helped.
Think I played well, blocking him most of the time even if I didn't have the greatest stuff. He was unlucky with colours which clearly made it easier for me.
Thx Luc and gl for the rest of tourney.
Hecki, Qorlas and Knock you're under pressure !

Hi,
dea vs. Chris 1-5
1) USA : 115 - 121
2) BigC: 98 - 126
3) 1910: 121 - 133
4) Mega: 148 - 151
5) Euro: 124 - 125
6) CH : 91 - 80
All of the games were very, very close. In game 1 we shared longest (44) and had nearly the same amount of tic points.
Game 2 would have ended with 98 - 45 for dea, if she had been able to finish one turn earlier.
In the Mega game we completed 13 tix in total, score diffence at the end only three points, as close as game 5 with only one point difference.
Thx for the awesome match dea and a bit more luck (or points, 5 per game would have been enough for a tie ) for the next matches.
Chris

Qorlas - Lucullupus 2:4
Metro: 97 - 101* (well played from Qorlas with poor tickets)
USA: 113* - 102 (bad tix both, better colours for Qorlas)
1910: 84 - 124* (my winning ticket was wash-atl (4 points!), which qorlas didn't see and therefore didn't draw tickets
EU: 130* - 104 (good brest-petro for me but the rest was sh... against 3 good east tickets from Qorlas)
Mega: 134 - 148* (lucky draw (denv-st.louis) for 5th ticket and badly needed 15 extra points)
CH: 67* - 85 (only 5 ticket points for me, but longest und a very unlucky draw from Qorlas in the end)
always nice to play against you, have fun!

Qorlas - Sysy : 0-6
USA : LA NY - LA CHI / VAN MON SSM OAK WIN LR
120-132*
He had longest but my track points were enough.
BC : I had Sea-Oak Sea LV. Can't remeber his tix. (La Chi, Hel La and something)
*98-120
Had nice big tracks, nice tix, ending fast : happy with my play !
Euro : 124-129* Cad Stock Essen kiev + longest vs Pal Mos Pal Con Kiev SOchi.
Had tons of locos, played badly (3 persons were continuously bothering me) but once again track points made it.
1910: *69-125 Lv NY - Phoe Bos vs Sea Oak-slc kc
Again big tracks for me, and managed to delay him around tor-chicago. Lv therefore died ! Liked my game too.
Suisse : 57-100* Bern CHur/ Bern Country and Zurich Brusio (not sure) vs Lausanne Interlaken / Lausanne St Gallen
Q started offensive with 4 grey 3 white. Started 2 red in Bern then 4 black to St Gallen. Thought Q would block me off, but made it around, got a free way around Geneva to get longest and lay the final 6 tunnel. He had to go for fiending, it fell flat !
Mega : *122-141 No clue about his tix (Denver St Louis, Mon NO la chi ?). Had Win Santa Fé/ Dallas Ny/ SSM oak.
4 red from him to Oak hurt but made it around making my way north like a Sea Ny. Had Longest, no time for him to draw I think.
Happy with my game again !
Thx Qorlas for the games.
Thx Group C !
Thx Drake for supporting me, results are there thx to your lessons !
And thx to the 3 who thought that was a perfect time to have a conversation with me, and thx to Phillies for having won their game vs the Blue Jays while I was playing ! Multitasking power!

Dea 1 Miguel 5
Luck was on my side.
1st game USA. I held dul paso cal pho + good colours, dea had east with bo miami and 2nd east tick. no game. 0-1
2nd game BC SEA NY + SLC CHI, better combo and hand for me...dea had la chicago and dul houston but i counquer the mid and makes the gap. last turn dea draws finds 1 still not enough 0-2
3rd MEGA i go for block and dea surpass 1-2
4th 1910
Cant remember LOL 1-3
5th EU
Pal Mos Roma something south (LOL) vs berlin mosk? brest petro
Dea blocks me from reaching mosk (forcing me to place a bridge) still i make longest and win. 1-4
6 Swiss
Geneve Zurich Geneve Basel for me with longest. Dea making austria france route and drawing ticks untill 7, still longest plus +20 on track points vs 7 ticks (but small ones) is enough. 1-5
Thanks for the games Dea
Chris, Yaelka, Cat?

Well, the match score was 4-2 in favor of onyx, but only because someone forgot to connect her one route in the one game that allowed the win. Otherwise it would have been 3-3.
onyx-tyrana
1) Swiss 79 - 72
2) USA 78 - 113
3) Euro 109 - 122
4) 1910 123 - 83
5) BigC 123 - 81
6) Mega 161 - 108

SIDE NOTE ABOUT TOURNAMENT: Anyone else notice a trend in the game order of the matches? Curious why that may be since it is my favorite game to play.
Take a look up above at game orders of matches.
Any theories about the trends in the match orders?
I will write my theory later.

You can check the posts of Dea from last year. All originates from the importance of the start in particular maps.
In Big Cities the start can be important even more than in USA.
In USA the start is important off course.
1910: the start can be fundamental to have the extra draw at the end.
Europe: start is important but not so much. Tunnels can give or take away your tempo giving the advantage to the other player.
Same apply for Swiss that can also become a fiend fest.
Mega is seen as the weird map. Too much tix, too much bonuses so much depends on what you have at the start.

dea - yaelka: 3 - 3
USA: 112 - 127: nice tix for me ... and even bot took suitable colours
BC: 104 - 112: nice tix ... swimming in locos and 2 blocks, that weren't meant blocks helped me
USA 1910: 120 - 109 luck turned 4 short tix for me were not enough
Mega: 133 - 125 most tix and longest for dea .... no chance for me to win
Swiss: 77 - 44 both of us in the others way ... but in the end dea could fulfill her country-ticket
Europe: 128 - 118 most disliked map by me .. but again lucky against dea
thx dea for nice, fast (at least for me) and interesting games
