Great work, everyone! This is such a fun game to travel with...and you're making the AI even better so I'll be able to play any time I want, even if my wife doesn't feel like joining me.

Thanks for all the hard work! Cool

I just played a few games in Solo mode to check the new features...very impressive!! Cool

It's much easier to select the bots that you want to play against and if you want, you can even pick the same bot several times (though each one will be a different color player). The End screen (where you see the points and find out the winner) is much better; you can now select any player to review what cards they had and which ones they finished, you can review the board while you're looking at their cards, and you can move between players in a very natural way.

If you have an iPad, it's well worth getting this game!! Smile

Re:Ticket to Ride 1.2 for iPad is now available - question Mon, 10 October 2011 18:26
Hi,

Thanks for the update! One issue which may or may not be one: I have only played once against one of the AI players... At the end of the game, it seemed to me after counting several times that our longest routes were of equal length, but the game declared the bot winner of the longest route. Is there a special rule that I am missing?

Thanks, Nadia

Looking at the Ticket to Ride (the base game) rules, it says,

"The player who has the Longest Continuous Path of routes receives this special bonus card and adds 10 points to his score. In the case of a tie for the longest path, all tied players score the 10 points bonus".

So if you're sure you didn't get points as well, it looks like a bug. Razz

The message only declares one player has having the longest route (in this case it looks like it was the bot), but the bonus points are (should be) added for all players with a longest route.

Now that you say it, Eric, I've had this happen to me before! I got the points because we tied for the longest route but it only listed my opponent...thanks for the clarification! Cool

Upgraded iPad to OS5 at the same time upgraded ticket to ride to 1.2 and now my in app purchase is gone as well as all of my high scores and ranking. Is this a bug with the ticket to ride upgrade or iPad OS upgrade?

Transition to iOS 5 have been difficult for many of us, including me Smile

In theory, the restoration of back up should have reactivated the purchased maps and the local data such as high scores and login for play online.

But some users have lost their app settings when updating to iOS 5 (not specifically for Ticket to Ride).

To restore your purchased maps, simply click on the buy button, you will not pay again for those maps.
Just confirm the purchase dialog, your iPad will tell you the new download will be for free.

Unfortunately, for the local high scores, they are lost, unless it has been saved on iCloud if you subscribed to this service...
