More than 1 core game needed for breakthrough?

I checked around on the forums and the main site but I haven't been able to find any straight up confirmation whether or not the breakthrough expansion needs a second copy of the core game. I was wondering because I know the overlord expansion needs two copies and I want to make sure if it does or not.

No, that's overlord that requires either a second set, or battle maps and the operation overlord expansion. I do, however recommend the Winter Wars expansion because it comes with the breakthrough card deck. Plus it comes with a lot of other goodies too! For a breakdown on expansions, download this:

It is a pdf file.

Maybe this list is what you remember?
http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/523869/list-of-required-expa nsions
Two scenarios require an extra basegame, but I haven't checked exactly what terrrain tiles are needed for Breakthrough to the beach. Manado needs only the troops from the second set, but I can't now remeber how many.
04. Breakthrough to the beach: Western Front - Beach
[i]M44(for units, terrain and obstacles)
and
15. Manado Landings: Pacific Theater - Beach
M44(for troops)

That reminds me, there was one breakthrough scenario in the breakthrough kit that did require two boxed sets. After looking back at my expansions list, it was the Breakthrough to the Beach scenario. The others and many on The Scenarios From the Front do not require two boxed sets. I hope this helps.

Isn't that what ad79 just said?
Sorry, Ron...I just couldn't resist. How are the wedding plans coming?!

Oops! I didn't read it all. Wedding plans are progressing! I forgot how much was involved! Jan 21st is the date! Thanks for asking!

Congrats on the wedding.
Now you will have some one to play f2f all the time.
My wife and me have had many good battles together.
Playing a board game are the best kind of battle to have.
Married 45 years and counting!!!

Mariage neigeux, mariage heureux
French saying, loosely translated : "snowy wedding, happy marriage".
Goes with "rainy" too

It took 7 weeks from we decided to get married untill the weddingday. We had been together for 7 years before we got married.
And after the ceremony I found a parking ticket on my car for illegal parking. I knew I had found a keeper when my wife almost fell over from laughing.

My wife didn't remember me after the first time we met.
She remembered me the 2nd time - but not my name.
We were engaged 3 months later.
Married 15 months after we met the 2nd time.
Have been married 23.5 years.

Good stories! I taught her Memoir 44 already, except we only played one game and haven't even touched the expansions yet! We've known each other for two years, she knew she wanted to go out with me, but I was a confirmed bachelor at the time and said so in a group of people that included her. But, she didn't give up on me. After two years, I asked her to a concert in June, she accepted, and the rest is history. We have hit it off! She is mostly a card player, but has begun to accept board games. I have taught her Settlers of Catan and expansions. We met at church and were a part of a singles group there. Thanks for all the encouragement and stories! Right now, I am waiting for her to get off work and we are going to visit her family (three sisters) in Indiana for Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving all!

Hmm...sounds like you'll be looking for a new group. Young married? Newly married?
