You just have to watch for someone on the crew to come online. It's not easy because they are very busy and don't have time to play online all the time, so keep your eyes out!

To find the pseudo of the DOW members:
Go to the Achievements page on the M44 Online web site. Select the DOW medal. See against who the medal was won. Register the pseudos into your friends list. Each time you play on-line, select your friends list and see if a DOW member is connected.

It's very difficult to find a crew member in the lobby just hanging out. They are usually pretty busy and when they are online, it is most likely that they are working on a specific issue.
I'm not sure that I should share my story about the badges, so
good luck in the search!

I found a much easier way to get my DOW badges...just ask for a battle appointment!No waiting or searching in vein  !!!
Crew members are great guys willing to help!

Send a private message to the crew member you want to battle against and wait his replay  !

I tried that myself, late last year: sent a PM to Yann and Sandrine, but never got a reply, so I just dropped the whole matter

Lack of response shouldn't surprise (or displease!) us...I can't imagine what an inundation the DOW crew would face if everyone who wants the achievement started trying to PM them to get a battle date!

All things involve a certain amount of luck.
But don't underestimate the power of being polite!
Crew members are busy with many things, so insist and be as polite and as patient as possible!
Don't forget that it's a favor we ask,they don't owe us the battles!

Lack of response always displeases me 
Maybe because I'm naive, or because I was educated that way, or because my job involves communicating with a fairly large number of users on a website, or because of all of these reasons.
If the tools are available, it is expected that one can use them; it is up to the administration of the website to give proper response to unforeseen situations: either by disabling the tools, by displaying information (in the PM page, in the Forum,...) or simply responding with a simple template text "Sorry, too many pleas, too little time!"

Ok,i have one thing that comes in my mind.
Before i send the PM i checked the crew members last log in date.
Some of them hadn't log in for a long-long time so i try with someone more active last weeks!
I hope i helped clorofila a bit,about what the reason of the so called "Lack of response" is!

Good point!. I should have perhaps said lack of a positive response shouldn't surprise or displease - I was thinking more about the time it would take DOW crew to actually battle all those wanting to earn that achievement - not about the (comparatively little) time to simply acknowledge a request.

Yes, sorry everyone but there is no way I (or anyone else inside the company) can accommodate all of you guys desiring to battle with one of us. 
It's not that we don't love the game
... but we've also got a business to run, first and foremost
So... I will try and reply to those who already PM'd me (though I/we don't always check our inboxes as frequently as you think we might - life/work often gets in the way) and I will do my best to play against those of you who wish to, but I need to set realistic expectations: I'm highly unlikely to be able to play more than 1 game/rematch per week (and that's in the good weeks).
Given the amount of interest many of you expressed, I will also see if we can plan ahead a day or week where many of our crew would be available to play. No promise yet, though, this might take a while to set up.

Thanks Eric for your reply.
Having the awards creates an expectation - no matter how unreasonable - that there might be DoW staff online.
A booking mechanism or set times might be a useful concept.
With thousands of players and relatively few staff players should be realistic and not expect too much.
People we can trust, as usual, that our messages have been read and DoW staff will do what they can to help.
