Sickle Cut Medals Question Wed, 29 February 2012 17:57
Hello

In the last 2 scenarios from the Sickle Cut campaign, the Axis HAVE to capture the temporary medal. If the Axis need 5 medals to win, what happens if they kill 7 units and then capture the medal? Do they score 5 VP's (as that is the total required to win), or do they score 8 VP's-i.e. the 7 kills plus the one medal? Or, if they kill 5 units (and haven't got the medal at this point), do they win the battle but LOSE the scenario as they didn't get the medal?

Thanks

Defense of le cateau would score 5 medals and you get 1 medal to the objective track marking the none box in the objective track.

Assault on the wattenberg you score 6 medals and you get 1 medal for mount watten , so you check the 1 box in the objective track.

If you get more medals before the objective medal is taken these do not count towards the score.

Basicaly you need both objective medals in both scenario's to get 1 extra point.

Thanks for the reply.

Just to check: If you kill 7 units as the Axis but at that time you haven't got the objective medal, are you saying that you still play on (as the Allies haven't got the VP total to win yet) until either the Allies hit the total needed to win, or Axis get the objective medal they need to win? If the Axis then got the objective medal, by now they have 7 kills and 1 objective. In Le Cateau you need 5 medals to win, so in this example the Axis score 5 VP's and 1 mark goes to the objective tracker, BUT the Axis don't get any VP's for the extra 2 units they killed before getting the objective medal?
