Home-made "Junkers JU-88" & "Carpet Bombing" cards Mon, 26 March 2012 21:18
Hello,

I've been trying to create my self home-made cards for the new plane included in the "Air Aces" Campaign and the "Carpet Bombing" Special Action (CB#2).

Reading the specifications, I assumed that the Special Action "Strafing" would be added, as it mounts 4 guns 7x92 mm with a total amount of 6.000 rounds. Source here

Very well done!! Would love to see a 3D version of the JU-88 plane. Would be great to have this on the gamemaps.

Very nice, but you have there small bug in word adjancent (adyacent). Anyway good work.

In view of the Ju-88 role in battle, I do not think it should do strafing (all those machine guns where defensive armament), on the other hand, it should be able to do Ground Support (Ju-88 dive-bombing capability).

Yea, I've been thinking about that also. Probably "Ground Support" may be added.

Dunno if DoW has any official word about the special actions a Junkers JU88 airplane can carry out in the battlefield.

According to the source of my first post, among other roles, a JU88 can:

- Dive bomber --> Ground Support?
- Tactical bomber --> Carpet Bombing
- Heavy Fighter --> Strafing?

Heavy fighter: mostly against other aircraft, not intended for ground attack.

Hello,

following the advice and expertise of the senior players, I've changed the JU-88 airplan card to include:

1. Carpet Bombing.
2. Ground Interdiction.
3. Ground Support.

Detail: You used the postwar German colours. They should be black-white-red.

I bet they'll eventually do even better than that! They'll release the official card for the Official Card Compendium. Very Happy

Until then, you might try sending a PM to a crew member to see if they can shed any light on the question.
